Mobb Deep and Nas on New Collabo Track

It is wonderful to know that Mobb Deep and Nas can actually work together again after feuding for considerable number of years. Back in 2001, it was a crazy war...Jay-Z was going at Nas and Mobb Deep, Nas was going at Jay-Z and Mobb Deep (more at Prodigy than havoc), and Mobb Deep was going at Jay-Z and Nas. It was just really crazy, but what surprised me was the Mobb Deep going at Nas issue. I have always been a nas fan and became a mobb deep fan because of the collabos they did together...LIVE NIGGER RAP on Nas's It Was Written album back in 1996, and on that same album, havoc did the hook of a track titled The Set up...Then you had them together twice in 1999; first on Mobb Deeps Murda Muzik album on a track titled It's Mine, and later on Nas's 4th album, Nastradamus on a track called FAMILY.

When i now heard about the beef, i could not believe it, because they had always been good together. And when mobb deep signed with 50 cent, who was going at nas at the time, Prodigy continued throwing shorts at nas. I am glad nas didn't reply him. Anyway, it is all good now, and they have a track together titled "dog shit". Prodigy just got out of jail last month, and has been doing a lot of collabs...i guess getting locked can make you reflect on your life.

Rap News: Prodigy to Release Autobiography in 2011

Prodigy, one-half of the rap group Mobb Deep just inked a deal to release his Autobiography. He has been in jail for about three years now, and would be getting out in feb of 2011.

http://allhiphop.com/stories/news/archive/2010/12/22/22534816.aspx reports that Prodigy, who is set to finish his three year prison sentence this February, has signed a deal with Simon and Schuster to pen his autobiography, titled My Infamous Life: The Autobiography of Mobb Deep's Prodigy. Written by Prodigy and Laura Checkoway, the book will focus on his upbringing, his work with fellow Mobb Deep member Havoc and his career leading up to his 2006 arrest.
Since his incarceration, Prodigy has released two albums , Product of the 80's with Big Twins and Un Pacino and the sequel to his critically accalimed solo debut H.N.I.C., both of which hit shelves in 2008.
My Infamous Life: The Autobiography of Mobb Deep's Prodigy is expected to hit book shelves April 19, 2011.

THE FALL OF EAST-COAST RAPPERS IN HIPHOP (PART 2)

I was on a hiphop site yesterday and someone gave a reason for the fall of the east-coast rap legends, especially new york rappers. The two reasons were actions made by jay-z and 50cent.
In mid to late 90's, nas and mobb deep were rap legends, respected for their mic skills. Then jay-z drops takeover in 2001, dissing mobb deep and nas on basis of money and album sales. That should not have been the criateria for judging a good rapper.Making rap legends look like nothing in the eye of the public. He was at his peak then so he rode on that. Thank God nas was able to show him that skills matter a lot.
Then secondly, 50cent, who had been relevant for just about 3years at the time, went on a rampage on more rap legends.
In a bid to promote his 2005 album, the massacre, he dropped a diss track taking jabs at rap legends like nas, fat joe and jadakiss(the l.o.x).
You would never catch t.i taking lyrical jabs at bun b(ugk), even though he's more successful. That's what keeps southern rappers relevant.
