"Baby" weighs in on the Nicki Minaj Lil Kim Beef

Baby, Birdman, Brian Williams, C.E.O of Cash Money Records, the label Nicki is signed to has let us know what he feels about the whole issue with Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim. I can't say he was one sided, but what do you expect from him? He has to protect his investment.

In an interview with Vibe.com, Cash Money’s Birdman spoke on a variety of topics including Lil Wayne’s release from Rikers Island, The Carter IV, and even the beef between rappers Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim.
According to Birdman Lil Kim may have “asked for” her current rivalry with the rising Young Money star.
“Real talk, but maybe Kim asked for it,” said Birdman when asked about Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj. “Usually we don’t try to make money like that…that’s not our theory. We make great music. We have never been the type to make songs about motherfuckas. I think Nicki is speaking in general, not just Kim personally. A lot of motherfuckers have been hating on her success. To me, they are all asking for it. I don’t think any of them has as a talented clique as Nicki. We a movement.”
A feud between Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim was initially sparked back in June when Lil Kim called out both Nicki Minaj and Diddy at a concert in Baltimore. The feud has continued since that time with Nicki Minaj recently denying reports that she dissed Lil Kim on “Roman’s Revenge,” her song with Eminem.
Aside from speaking on Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj, Baby also revealed that there will be a Young Money/Cash Money tour starting in February 2011 and that The Carter IV will be released early next year as well.
“Well, we have the Young Money/Cash Money tour starting in February so we have a lot of new music coming out. Carter IV is coming out at the top of next year,” Birdman explained to Vibe.com

Baby did a little bragging recently, but i guess he has the rights to do that, because you got to ask; where are all the other record labels that started off in the 90's? Where is NO LIMIT? Where is SO SO DEF? Where is RUFF RYDERZ? And the list goes on. I think he and his brother, SLIM, have done a lot of work in making sure they stay relevant, even more relevant than when they started off, and they are growing everyday.

"I look at that sh*t as we went through war and we sustained the weather and we stood in the fog," Baby said in an interview. "Even when muthaf*ckas counted us out, we stood up and we manned up. We did everything we had to, to get where we're at today. I think God gives it to ya when he feels you're ready for it. It took us a long time; we had to go through a lot of changes. A lot of obstacles, losses, gains. I just think right now we're so great at this sh*t. We got so many young n*ggas who look at me and Wayne and what we've accomplished. You see the hunger [that] Drake and all the rest of those little n*ggas [have] because they're reaching for those stories. We work like n*ggas who never made a dollar and I think that's impressive to them. That makes them go harder. Those little n*ggas got promising futures." (XXL Mag)

Just last week, my friend was playing JUVINILE'S "back that ass up", and i heard LIL WAYNE at the end, i was like, wow, such a long time ago. That was actually 11 years ago, and i remember how juvy was the hottest cash money artist back then. But wayne really stayed in there...i guess baby really believed in him.
