First of all, i must apologize for bringing you news that lil kim and nicki minaj had squash their beef, it was an april fools' joke that sohh.com played on its readers, and since i got the story from their, i thought it was true. They are a very reliable source, and i didn't think they would joke with something as crucial as that, and jeopardize loosing their credibility. I am sorry once again, and i have to say it was not really my fault, because at the time i was posting the news up in here, i thought it was true. So, let me say it again, the 2 female rappers, lil kim and nicki minaj have not squashed their beef. In fact, nicki minaj is about to release a new beef song aimed at lil kim, and people are saying it is going to be featured on lil wayne's carter 4. I wonder why that is so, but i am sure this is no april fool's joke. Hmm! Why is she releasing it now, after people have started to forget about the whole thing...i just wonder. More on the news below- Just when you thought it was over, Nicki Minaj swings back at Lil' Kim on a new diss record. A snippet of the unfinished track made its way to Funkmaster Flex, who reports that it may end up on Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV. This time, the Young Money Barbie doesn't beat around the bush, taking direct shots at the Queen Bee. Hit-Boy confirms that he produced the marching beat and that the final version will also feature production from Boi-1da. It will go by a title other than "Tragedy" in its final form. (Rap-Up)

Okay, back to the subject, i must say that i am a big lil kim fan, i think she is the best and most consistent female rapper ever. I respect mc light and the other pioneers, but you see that i put "consistence" in my defining kim- i am a Man, but i got all her albums, and i loved all she features she did with her male counterparts in the industry back in the day, she has always held it down, in my own opinion. I would also like to say that i think Nicki Minaj is dope, and for a second there, i thought kim should just chill, but until i watched this video, i didn't understand what kim had been saying all this while. I remember when people were complaining about GAME going to hard at G-Unit, but the fact is that the man that has the lower advantage should fight the hardest in any battle. People are scooping up anything nicki drop right now, and they would not take anything kim drops as a fact, so she has to go the extra mile. Yeah, according to Lil Kim via her twitter page, she says she has sold 113,000 copies of her latest mixtape, BLACK FRIDAY, which is aimed at Nicki Minaj. I guess it is going to contain a couple of more diss tracks aimed at Nicki, and have some other tracks, Anyway, she claims she sold 113k copies of the mixtape via paypal, at $9.99, so if she is right, she just made a million off a mixtape.
I would be happy for her if it was actually true, because a lot of peole online are doubting it, but i don't, asides from Kim being a very dope rapper, i guess the mixtape was bought by some nicki minaj hatters.

Redman recently gave his opinion on the Lil Kim Nicki Minaj Beef. All the people that have touched on this subject have been diplomatic about it; not picking a side, and i was expecting Reggie to go against that, but he just sat on the fence like the rest.
A lot of people look at the matter from different perspectives- some have words like "lil kim disses nicki minaj" fast coming out of their mouth, forgeting that nicki dropped Roman's Revenge first. Anyway, i like the two artist, but i have always said i go with kim anyday, but it is not about me, just read what redman had to say;

A couple of months ago, there were word exchange between new comer, Nicki Minaj and veteran Female Rapper Lil Kim- nothing on wax, it was just kim saying nicki was jacking her style and not paying respect. But, nicki has taken the bull by the horn and dropped a track, Romans Revenge, which has some lines obviously aimed at kim. Well, nicki's album is about to drop, so i understand why she waited this long to drop something on kim. I am from the old school, and i think it's about to go down- that is if kim hits the studio and drops something. Of cos i know nicki got skill, retarded skills, but kim gonna...kim go hard. Lil kim has been known to even go against male rappers in the past, so i don't think battling nicki would be a big deal to her. I see it as entertainment, so let the games begin. Personally, i think if they go back and forth it would bring some spice to hiphop.

I think it is too obvious who she is talking to with those lines, but i guess she doesn't want to play to much offensive. She wants the hype, but she does not want the problems that come with it. Kim said something on the matter, but i didn't really feel what kim was saying, maybe she was drunk or something. But, i would let you judge by yourself.

I think Nicki got the public ear right now, so a lot of people would't be checking for kim, so she need to just put out a hot track or just ignore nicki, because it can go wrong for her. Nicki might also be a HAS-BEEN in about 3-4 years, so i wonder why she has to call kim a has-been, but the truth of the matter is that she got a lot of love from the masses right now, so she would have a upper hand. But i put a hundred on it- Lil Kim would crush Nicki in a beef. Forget all the style flipping and metarphor dropping that nicki be doing, kim goes in hard, just go and check out her catalogue if you are a teen or in your early 20's and don't know what kim be about.

In the last week or so, there has been a lot of direct and subliminal disses from both LIL KIM and "nicki minaj" towards themselves, which started off when lil kim felt the list nicki minaj could do after stealing her whole style was to at least pay homage. I am not too sure, but I think I read some time ago that nicki credited lil kim as being one of the artist that influenced her; maybe I read wrongly.
So, the dissing has been going back and fort for the last 10 days or so, and a lot of people have weighed in on the matter.
Nicki's label mate, DRAKE had this to say:

I think I understand what drake is trying to say, that kim is bigger than that, but I have to correct him there though, when he compares the situation with if jay-z and kanye west would go up and ask him to pay homage- well, the difference with that and nicki minaj's case is that he didn't steal anybody's style, but it is clear that nicki minaj was influenced by lil kim, and her not confirming it, and then running with the whole lil kim swag when lil kim is still alive, and planning to drop a new album, now, that is a problem.

I think for the first time, I am seeing a point to what 50 cent has to say; I think he makes a point there. You know how lil kim can get with all her BIGGIE campaign, and for P.DIDDY, to now compare RICK ROSS to BIG, and then want to manage nicki, wow! I know how kim would feel about it.
Now, let's read what FAT JOE had to say about the matter;

That's fat joe right there trying to be extra diplomatic, but getting his point across. Even though he is friends with YOUNG MONEY/CASH MONEY C.E.O, he has to get his point along.
To end this, I would just like to push my point across; i don't think nicki would ever pay homage, because, right now, she has all the fame, and it is getting to her head, and she would feel she is disappointing her fans if she did that; her ego wouldn't even allow her to do that right now. But what I have to say is that, in a lyrically battle, lil kim would show nicki minaj who the baddest bitch is.
NICKI MINAJ, the new female rap sensation is having some sort of beef with legendary female rapper, LIL KIM. There has been a lot of back and fort comments on someone not paying homage, and someone having hate, blah! blah! blah! Before i take sides, and i don't even think i am going to take sides, i would just spit the truth, the facts, and let you judge for yourself. Lil kim has been in the rap game for over 15 years, although she has had some major set backs with her rap career in the last 3 years or so; Nicky minaj is the hottest female rapper right now. Lil kim was the queen of rap for more than a decade during the heights of her reign; NICKY MINAJ has been in the game just 2 years. Lil kim has 4 solid albums(that have all gone platinum) to her name; Nicky is yet to drop her sophomore album. Lil kim has been rumored to have done a couple of plastic surgeries that make her look very horrible right now; Nicki minaj is young and beautiful. Lil kim is very lyrical and has held her own in songs that she featured or was featured by male rappers; Nicki minaj is also lyrical in her way and has done collaborations with some male rappers of her time.
Okay, those are the facts, let me do a little analysis, and give you my own opinion on the issue. I think the whole beef is about lil kim demanding that nicki pay homage to her for at least using her whole style. I think you have to agree with kim that nicki minaj stole the whole sexiness swag lil kim was\is known with, so she said she didn't mind, and didn't have any problem but she atleast wanted a prop of some kind. I guess she wants nicki minaj to admit the influence "lil kim" had on her, maybe probably through an interview or something.
And nicki is not down with that as she has shown with all the subliminal disses she has been sending to kim via twitter. So let me come in and say my piece, and i will try to make it short. I think lil kim has a right to question nicki, because it is clear that nicki did steal her whole style, and the whole barbie movement that kim made popular in the 90's and the 00's.
That's it, that's all i am going to say about the whole issue, because i don't want to get to emotional...........................Okay, let me confess, i am a big lil kim fan and i think she is the best female rapper of all time; she is the G.O.A.T when it comes to female rap, and i don't think anybody can take that away from her, and i don't care what DRAKE wants to make people think with his bias unwarranted judgement of the whole issue.
And about nicki minaj? I have to confess, i didn't like her when i first heard her, cos she sounded so much like lil wayne, and i was wondering who this "female version of lil wayne" was, but after a while, i kind of understood her, and started seeing her potential. I heard a couple of featuring she did and i liked them; i guess i didn't like her delivery, but when i listened to what she was actually saying, and the metarphors she was dropping, i gave it to her. Now, i think i like her whole package; she is cool, and she would go places with the present generation of rap listeners.
I have to add that i don't really like her new track, "massive attack", the single to her upcoming debut album. I did some research and heard some of her old stuff before she signed with young money, and she was really really good on them. I mean underground tracks she dropped back in 2007.
Okay, i think, through all my rambling, i have been able to give you my opinion on the whole situation.

"Here's my thing, all females that come in the game, we all need to stick together and I always try my best to embrace them but what happens is when you come into the game and realize that I'm not going away and my fans are still here and they can't just step over me. It's stupid because all I ask for is to be respected -- pay homage at the end of the day, a lot of things go on behind the scenes that people don't know about and it will be aired out. You can't hide the truth -- when I came out to do this promo tour, it was a reminder of where it came from because if you're gonna swagger jack somebody and take their style, at least pay the respect and the homage..."
