Who's Hot, And Who's Not

I got to know from you guys- who is hot in hiphop right now, and who is not? There is a lot of talk about rick ross being the hottest right now, and i think i can buy that, but i want to hear from you guys. Please, remember that i said HOT, not the most lyrical or the person who has sold the most rap albums, but just plain simple- who's hot.

I know people will still get me wrong and start mentioning eminem, and jay-z and them. When last did you hear a song from those guys on the radio? And when was the last time they featured on someone else's track and made an impression. I just want to know who you think is hot right now.

I would like to mention some other people that are on the scene and making waves. Nicki Minaj still has her buzz from last year, although i can't say it is on the level it was last year. Maybe lil kim was right- maybe she is just a burning match. But, i think otherwise, because she is very versatile, and skilled.

Lil Wayne? I still don't get that his 6 foot 7 foot song- i think it is not hot  enough to be an album single- and the first single at that. But he is still moving units from his EP I Am Not A Human Being, so that gives you an idea that people are still waiting on new material from him.

Drake? I don't know...i guess he is just aight right now. But i do believe he still has a lot to give.

Whiz Khalifa is definitely hot right now, and his album just dropped- Rolling Papers. I haven't gotten it yet, so i can not rate it. I am going to know how much it did in its first week in stores today. But already, estimations don't put him above the first week of lasers.

Yeah, that takes me to LUPE FIASCO. Lupe is not the type to jump on so many songs, because of his style, but he is doing pretty good. The official first single off the album (LASERS) "The Show Goes On" has already been certified GOLD; that means it has sold 500,000 copies as a single. I think that is pretty good. So, as for this year, Lupe Fiasco still has the highest selling rap album- that is for rap albums that dropped this year.

Yeah, you got to mention the guy who put lupe on- Kanye West. Kanye still has the buzz from last year, but i was really thinking he was going to own the first quarter of this year with that ALL OF THE LIGHTS track. That track is a banger, and i thought it would performance better than it is doing so far.

Wale is also hot, and a lot of people are complaining about his move to Rick Ross's Maybach Music imprint. Me, i think it is a smart move. He signed with the label this year, and he is already everywhere...i am just happy he is not going to end up like J.Cole. Cole has a lot of talent, but i guess jay-z does not have his time, because seriously, he is meant to have dropped his album by now. I guess the Roc Nation is not going to be as strong as jay planned it to be.

I got to mention my man GAME, even though he is more or less bubbling under the radar. He has been dropping dope mixtapes for the last 24 months or so, but i think we need an album from him, so he needs to work on that. He was widely complemented on the dopeness of his last mixtape- Purp and Patron, which was a double cd mixtape. I downloaded it and i got to say it was beyond what i expected from game. But, i think he needs to focus more on getting his album out.

Shyne Questions Rick Ross's Street Credibility

Former Bad Boy Records artist, Shyne, who got out of jail last year, after servicing a 10 year bid has been questing the right Rick Ross has to be rapping about all the Gangstar stories he be putting in his songs. He has been dissing rick ross, on track, and on interviews since he got out, and this is getting me thinking maybe he is just looking for some attention. I know rick ross has not replied him, and he (ross) just goes on making his money- in line with ross making money, he was paid $100,000 by soem parents in my country (Nigeria) just to appear at their kid's 10 year old birthday party- you can check it out here- Nigerian parents pay rick ross $100k.

I can remember the week shyne got out of jail, rick ross showed nothing but love, and extended a hand in anything shyne might want to get into musically. I think the negative energy shyne is carrying around is what has not made him drop anything sensible since he got out. I wish him all the best.

He even had a chat with FAT JOE, about the matter, and he is still being negative...come on son! It is all entertainment. Shyne, you just said it yourself, rick ross is the biggest gangstar rapper, i guess that is the real reason why you are mad,a nd i guess that is the reason YOUNG JEEZY is also mad at the kid. I am 30, and have been listening to rap since i was 14, and i know that not all what the rappers say is true, so i can not be offended by rick ross, as long as he keeps dishing out good music. That's all i got to say.

"Why wouldn't I?," Shyne asked in an interview about dissing Ross on his "Belize" record. "I mean, you know, I don't get that. I don't get an ex-prison guard being the #1 gangsta rapper. I don't get that at all my man. I'm not saying you gotta feel the way I feel, but please, please have some compassion [for someone like me who is back home] from just doing ten years and going to war with the cops...you bangin' on police because they trying to talk to your girl, or they trying to touch ya mama in the wrong place. So I deal with crooked cops my whole life. Ain't nothing worse to me than a crooked cop. That's the worst thing you can do is use your badge to get ahead. I'd rather a cop just be a cop. And I respect where you stand, and you respect where I stand. But how a cop gonna profit from the life that I live? Uh-uh, I ain't jackin' that. Rick Ross Talks Genesis of 50cent Beef

The better part of 2009 was Rick Ross going at 50, and 50 making funny videos to address the beef, and letting Lloyd Banks handle the real lyrical war. If you ask me, i would say Rick Ross won the war. Anyway, Rick Ross recently addressed the issue, and give his reason for going at 50cent first.

It wasn't nothing at the time that was personal against 50 Cent, but he was attacking people, and began attacking people closer and closer to me, to a point where I had to make a decision. Hmm! I think i understand why he had to make that move...kill or be killed. But i have to give it to ricky though, as his career has blown up since after that. He has dropped two albums after the beef, Deeper Than Rap & Teflon Don, which have been fantastic albums. And the move he made with signing WALE is just wonderful, even with just wale, i think he has a stronger Camp.

Rick Ross Busted for Marijuana Possession

Rick Ross, the boss of Maybach Music was busted for marijuana possession over the weekend, but was released after a couple of hours. The police found just a gram of marijuana in his possession.

Big night for the coppers down in Shreveport, LA -- rapper Rick Ross and Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Peters were both arrested last night in separate incidents. First, let's talk about Ross -- according to police, he was busted last night for possession of marijuana. Cops say they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from his hotel room and when police investigated, they spotted approximately a gram of it in plain view. (TMZ)

That's how i got the story off sohh.com. What do i have to say about this? What the hell is a gram of marijuana...why should that be a big offense? It was probably be for personal use. And what were the cops doing by his hotel door? Where they patrolling the whole hotel corridor or something? This is just absurd to me. I mean, a lot of people die of overdosing on Cocaine, and you are tripping over someone smoking a herb? Common! Artist have been known to use one form of stimulant or the other since the time of Elvis Presly, and weed is not even addictive like them other drugs. Unless they were trying to get him on something else, i do not see the necessity in this bust.

Rick Ross's Maybach Muisc moves to Warner Music

Rick Ross just moved his Maybach Music label over to Warner Music from Defdjam. I think things are looking good for the boss; plus the fact that he just signed WALE to the label.

Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group has found a place to park. After meeting with various labels, the Miami rapper has signed a deal to bring his roster of talent to Warner Bros. Records. "Its official!!!!!! @maybachmusicgrp has partnered with Warner Bros!!!!!!!!!!!s/o Lyor Cohen..Tod..Joey I.e..dallas..and mybrother GucciPucci," tweeted the Bawse in the early hours of Saturday. "Deal of the CENTURY!!!!!!!!!!!!! #MMG #WB." While details have yet to be announced, the deal is expected to include distribution, marketing, and promotion for artists Ross signs to his imprint. Nigeria to Receive Rick Ross Again on Decembere 27

It can not be denied that American Rapper Rick Ross, has had a very good year. He dropped a critical acclaimed commercially successful album, TEFLON DON, and has been on almost every remix and hit song that has come out in 2010. He has been touring year round, and he recently found himself in Lagos Nigeria, last Saturday, 11th Dec, to do a short performers at the MTV African Music Awards, they enjoyed his performance so much that he has been requested to make a come back. This time, it is going to be a full-time concert.

It might sound crazy, but it is very true- Nigerian parents in the capital of Nigeria, Abuja, paid American rapper, Rick Ross $100,000 to appear at their son's 10th birthday party. What a birthday gift. It is cool that ricky is making some side money...and by the way, the deal was made on the night ricky was performing in lagos (Nigeria), dec 11th. Wow! That is super cool.

M.I On a Private Jet With Rick Roos

I was on twitter a couple minutes ago, and i happen to follow the Nigerian rapper M.I, and he posted up in there that he was on a Private Jet with the Boss, Rick Ross. I guess guys didn't believe him, so he posted up the picture.

I don't know what to say about it; i could say he is being real and showing that he respects a fellow rapper, and he decided o take the picture. But, what is funny is that he had to take the picture without Ricky's consent. Lol! Well, i don't think there is anything wrong with M.I being star-struck; i guess we will get there someday; when Nigerian musicians would stand side-by-side with their foreign contemporaries.

Well, i have put up the picture, and you can tell me what you feel about the whole thing. I have to say though, that i appreciate his realness...his no fronting attitude. There are a lot of people that would have just kept how they feel inside.

M.I M.I M.I, wow! I heard his new album, M.I2 for the hundredth time again today, i think the album is great, and you need to go out and get it if you don't already have it.

freeway ricky throws shuts at RICK ROSS

A lot has been going against southern rapper, RICK ROSS for a about a year now. Since 50 cent exposed him as being a former jail house correctional officer, and tried to ruin his career, more verbal assaults have been coming his way. The present one is from the man that rick ross carved his life style after, THE REAL RICK ROSS.

Free-way Ricky, as he was popularly called, is a former drug kin pin that made a lot of money from drugs in the 80's, before he was caught and sentenced to jail. He claims rick rosss got rich off using his name, which he didn't get clearance for.

Below is what is up right now with the case:
Freeway Ricky's attorney Melvin Sharpe Jr., ESQ., filed a trademark infringement lawsuit on Friday (June 18th) in U.S. District Court, Central District of California. Judge Percy Andersonwill issue summonses to Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter and rapper Rick Ross who could both be called to testify during the discovery process. Jay-Z is named in the lawsuit because he signed Ross to Island Def Jam in 2006, while he was President of the legendary label, which Ross still calls home. On Friday, lawyers for Freeway Ricky filed paperwork seeking a temporary restraining order for preliminary and permanent injunction relief, to officially block the release of Ross' upcoming album Teflon Don. "I just want my name back," Rick told XXL. "I don't want to have to be 'the real Rick Ross.' When I go places I have to explain to people that I am the real one because Def Jam has put him on TV and now people recognize him. It causes a conflict." Although he hasn't made up his mind about whether he wants complete rights over the use of the name or just damages, he maintains that the suit is not personal. "It ain't even really against William Roberts you know what I'm saying?" Ross added. "It's really against Def Jam because they making all this money off of my name and you know those guys didn't even reach out and said hello to me since I been home." (XXL Mag)


I feel really bad for ross at this point, because he is surely in a lot of trouble; but i guess there is nothing money can not settle. But the issue with the real rick ross trying to block off TEFLON DON, rick ross's new album from dropping is a problem.


But it is funny how rick ross carved his whole musical lifestyle/persona from some one that is still alive. I guess he didn't think the guy was getting out of jail any time soon. It is also funny that he grew his beard just to look like the guy. Anyway, whatever the case, ricky still make some good music.

WHICH RAPPER WOULD HOLD IT DOWN FOR 2010.

Which rapper do you think is going to hold it down for this year? We know JAY-Z had it on lock last year, and LIL WAYNE had the rap game in a chock-hold the better part of 2008, so who do you think is going to hold down the rap game this year?

Let me add that I have to recognise GUCCI MANE, even though I don’t really feel his style of rapping and I don’t know why he was so hot for a time. He started building steam around late last year (2009), and then he held it down through out, till earlier this year, before heading off to jail. But you still view his videos on MTV, every now, and then, and also video’s of other artist in which he was featured.
I still would like to know what got every body crazy that made them start putting him on their songs. It was like he was the new weezy.

Gucci could have had it good, he could have had a chance to reach the peak of his career if he had not gone off to jail, or rather gone back to jail for violating parole. I never get biased in any of my decisions or what I say, so if I say I am not feeling Gucci, and I still mention him, then you know I am just keeping it real. I have to admit though that there is a guest appearance I heard him on that blew me a way. His guest appearance on the YOUNG MONEY album; the track he did with lil wayne, “steady mobbing”, now, his verse on that song, I must confess, always gives me goose bumps when ever it comes on.

Enough of Gucci and off to the next one; I think T.I has a chance to hold the rap game down this year. Although it is march, and there is nothing new from him, and there was nothing new from him through out last year, because he was in jail for a year and a day, I think he has the right energy to pull off something before summer.
I have followed T.I since his inception; since when he had the beef with LIL FLIP (I have to say that I was riding with flip at first.), and I know the kind of energy the guy has when he wants to achieve something. He might not be the most lyrical, but I can say he is one of the most consistent rappers to date, along side JAY-Z. So, I feel T.I can be the hottest rapper for 2010.

Another mention would be YOUNG JEEZY. I have to tell you, I like his singles, and I like when he guest appears on other people’s songs, but I always find it hard to listen to a jeezy album from start to finish; maybe it is because his style never really changes. But he has managed to gather a lot of fans since his 2004/2005 debut, and he has promised to bring a lot to the table this year. Plus, Defjam as a recording label, have said they are all behind jeezy for his upcoming album; his 4th, so far.

I can’t but mention THE BOSS, RICK ROSS; the dude is one determined individual. He had one of the best rap albums of last year, DEEPER THAN RAP, behind Jay-z’s BLUEPRINT 3, and REAKWON’S ONLY BUILT FOR CUBAN LIINXS2. You would think the dude would relax and enjoy some royalties from the album, but nope, he is out and working, appearing hear and there to keep his name fresh in the media.
He is about to drop his 4th album, TEFLON DON, sometime in the summer, and he has guest appearance on DJ KHALEED’S VICTORY album, and has shot a video for one of the features.

The last, but not the least person on the list is none other than the Compton Top dog, THE GAME. He already has a street single, BIG MONEY, which is bumping on most people’s deck’s and has shot the video to the official first single, SHAKE, produced by COOL N DRE.
I tip my hat to game, as he managed to make it back with the master producer, Dr Dre, something that a lot of people thought was impossible, a couple of years back. I think with the guidance of the good doc, he could pull out a masterpiece with his upcoming album, R.E.D; which is his official fourth album.

Yep, those are all the rappers I give it to hold down the rap game for this year. What do you think of the list?

50 CENT PREDICTS A FLOP OF TRIPPLE C'S ALBUM

50 CENT has been running his mouth everyday for the last 4 weeks or so, saying one thing or the other about every rap artist trying to put in some work. Some of the things he says are true and useful, some, he says just out of envy. We all know he is about to drop a new album, his 4th album, and he is just trying to stay in the news.



He has been going back and forth with rick ross, since their summer beef started, but now, he is predicting that TRIPPLE C'S, the rap group that RICK ROSS put together, in which rick himself is a member, is going to flop when their album drops.

Below is what he had to say about it:



"[The public] is looking for the actual death blow to impact immediately," Fif said in an interview. "The death blow, when I hit you with it, you gotta wait six months later. It's dead. He's dead. When I threw the death blow to Fat Joe, it was [2008's] Elephant In The Sand and then six months later, new CD comes out and he sells 8,300 copies. Threw the death blow to Rick, boom, six months later, Triple C's CD come Tuesday, you gonna find what those numbers are and you're gonna fall out. You're gonna identify with the death blow. They can break ten [thousand copies] if they buy some. They can buy some. I don't know [all their names]. We know the police officer. We know the one that got knocked out. We know the kid from the Bronx. He's the tough one, right? The other guy, he wasn't sure if he wanted dreads or he wanted a flat top...People are developing this thing with me where they feel like I'm the bad guy, like I have bad intentions. It's not actually true, actually, I'd like to speak with the kids and tell them, 'Please, do not be this. Do not be like this.' [laughs] You understand?" (My Place)





I do not always believe when 50 says he is killing people's careers. Why wasn't he able to kill GAME'S career. I think it is just simple; he just jumps on people he already knows, through statistics, and how they are doing on radio, that is certain are not going to do so well, and he claims he brought them down. He is just as irrelevant as the people he claims he is bringing down, musically, but he just has more money to throw around and make things happen.



He predicted that they would not do more than 10k, i think he is wrong. Even though i know they would not do any huge numbers, clearly because they are not so popular as a group, i still believe they would move something between 20-40k.



50 be running his mouth all the time, lets see if his album would go platinum this time. I know he would talk less when he finds himself dead at 800k total sales for this album.

RICK ROSS AND BABY MAKE COLLABO ALBUM.

I think RICK ROSS is trying to stay in the media eye for as long as he can. After releasing one of the best rap albums of the year, DEEPER THAN RAP, early this year, and also currently about to drop an album with his group, TRIPPLE C'S, now it has been reported that he has finished a collabo an with CASH MONEY C.E.O and friend, BABY/BIRDMAN.

I think he is trying to ride his current buzz to the most he can. I respect his work ethics for that; i see ross as a rapper that is not all the way lyrical, but the image he has created for himself, and the way he drops his rhymes make up for that. He also has some great production on all the albums he has dropped so far. So i really respect him for being so hardworking.

The album is scheduled to drop in the summer of 2010.

MTV'S HOTTEST IN THE GAME LIST.

There has been a lot of talk about this year's, 2009, MTV'S HOTTEST IN THE GAME LIST, people saying one person or the other was not meant to be on the list. If you would ask me, i think the list is on point. Nobody that is not meant to be is on that list. And, everybody that is complaining about it is not really looking at the definition of the list. It says "hottest in the game", not "best ever", or "most lyrical", or "highest selling rapper", and it also makes reference to the present time, that means you have to be hot right now. So, i just don't understand people that are saying the list is not credible and that mtv has just lost all it's credibility. That is just uncalled for, if you would ask me.

I would like to say, the only person i think deserved to be on the list and wasn't is JADAKISS. They could have just removed REAKWON, and put jada at number 10 instead. But maybe out of the utmost respect for him, they left jada out.

So, that is the list,and there you have it. I am sure it was pretty tuff for mtv to put that together. I think regardless of how the list would have come out, it would still have offended some people. I think this particular list affects the list number of people though.

This is what JAY-Z had to say about the list;

"MTV, Thanx for this nod of appreciation," he wrote in a statement. "Although I don't strive to be 'hot' for any particular year, I thank you for the acknowledgment. My whole goal is to be recognized as the best ever. I created the term 'best rapper alive' as a sign of respect to my fallen comrades (Biggie and Tupac). I believe I've allowed a significant grace period, and I believe I would not be respecting myself if being the absolute best was not my goal, and that's why I continue to push myself until exhaustion ... salute. Sidebar: Kanye moment if I may ... Eminem?!?! I think you do the credibility of this list a disservice if you don't thoroughly explain his omission. As of this second he has the highest selling rap album of the year and a scene stealing verse on the best 'posse' cut of the year . (*Hands mic back to Taylor Swift ... and nobody was harmed, I apologize in advance.)" (Rap Radar)

You see what i was talking about, he says eminem deserves to be on the list, solely because he has the highest selling rap album thus far this year. I do not think that should be the one and only criteria, because if we really look at the rap scene presently, eminem has not done much but drop an album, and vanish after wards. An album that sold so much, and yet received the highest criticism, compared to his other albums. I go on blogs, and at least 80 percent of the people that comment on the album say they do not like it. Now, if we are to work on that alone,. you would understand why he was not on the list. I do not know the section of the population that contributed largely to the sales of the album, but i could hardly get anybody that really like the album in totality, maybe a few songs, but not in totality.
Maybe me, because i liked his display of skills, even though i do not like the fact that he is still talking about the same things (homophobic remarks, drugs, and his mom), but i am not the thousands and millions of listeners that make up the market.

Another reason why i would agree with eminem not making the list is that, asides from featuring on drake's FOREVER track, he did not guest appear on any other person's songs. He was not dropping hot video's, or doing cameos, or mixtapes, as i said earlier, he just dropped an album, and disappeared.

From June to September, Em all-but took himself out of the public eye, while other MCs generated week-to-week heat with mixtapes, guest appearances, performances and Web activity.


Wayne is at number 2, and this is what he had to say;

"Uhm, who's number one?," Wayne asked radio personality Tim Westwood in an interview. "Jay-Z? Nah, that's cool [me being at number two.] That's cool. That's okay, I thought Drake was gonna be number one. Eminem [is not on the list]? Who else is on the list? Gucci who? Gucci Mane? Gucci Mane was on the list and Eminem wasn't on it? A lot of people just kept commenting on the list, some going with it, some disagreeing, but non surprised me more than ATLANTA based producer/rapper, and C.E.O of SO-SO DEF records, JD. The one time rival of EMINEM, after eminem and DR DRE had dissed him on "say what you say"(eminem show),he surprised me when he rode on eminem's side for this one. Below is what he had to say about the list;

"WHATS UP LIFERS HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!," he wrote today (October 9). "TODAYS QUESTION IS ABOUT THE MTV HOT MCs LIST. MY QUESTION IS HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT EMINEM NOT MAKING IT? I PERSONALLY THINK THE LIST JUST LOST ITS CREDIBILITY BY NOT INCLUDING HIM. NOT ONLY DID HE MAKE A ALBUM THIS YEAR BUT THAT ALBUM OUT SOLD 75 PERCENT OF EVERYBODY ON THE LIST .SERGE WAS TRYING TO EXPLAIN TO ME THE LIST AND WHY THIS HAPPENED BUT TO ME THIS IS WHY SO MANY PEOPLE KEEP SAYING HIPHOP IS DEAD. WE HAVE NO RULES AND THE FIRST RULE SHOULD BE, UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS THE RECORD BUSINESS (KEY WORD BUSINESS) THE END RESULT IS TO SELL RECORDS NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. IN THESE BAD TIMES OF THE RECORD INDUSTRY HE SHOULD'VE MADE IT FOR THAT FACT ALONE THAT HE STILL HAD THE POWER TO MOVE 600K RECORD HIS FIRST WEEK. ANYWAY YALL ALWAYS ASKING HOW I FEEL SO THERE YOU HAVE IT LOL!!!!! TALK TO ME!!!" (Global 14)

The only person that defends the list is the boss himself, RICK ROSS. Now, we can say he defended the list because, at least, he is top 5 on the list, or he had some reason for his comment, i don't know. Let's check out what he had to say;

"I don't speak on nobody that ain't on the list," Ross jokingly said. "It's called 'Get Like Me' at this point, you feel me? At the end of the day, those are people's opinions and I respect MTV's opinions. I respect those brothers over there, you know what I'm saying because I've seen 'em in the streets. If it was some motherf*ckers I never seen at these venues watching the performances, watching what's going on, I may not be able to respect it but I see [panelists] Shaheem Reid, I see Buttahman, they visible to me. When I see 'em, it's [respect] and as far as the list goes, I'm honored to be mentioned. And it is what it is and to me, I feel like the only spot that counts on the list is number one. Second means you were the first to lose. So as far as Jay-Z being number one, I totally concur, that's one of my white words. I totally agree with that because Jay-Z done influenced so many of the artists on that list. Signing Rick Ross to Def Jam, signing Kanye West to Def Jam, influencing Lil Wayne, co-signing Drake and the list goes on, so most definitely you gotta tip your hat off to Jay-Z." (SOHH)

That's that, you heard my opinion, you read the opinion of the other rappers, it's left to you to consider if the people that put up the list can be justified or not.

GAME ON THE TRIPPLE C'S ALBUM.

Compton rapper, GAME, is featured on the TRIPLLE C'S album, a group put together by RICK ROSS, and they just short a video for one of the singles off the album. i guess game is trying to gain some buzz before his album drops in december. I wish him luck with promotion for the album, and i think it's a good move, working with ross and his click, some good exposure.

This is what he had to say about it:

"They my homies and I just ride with my homies, that's just what I do," Game said about Ross' crew. "So Rick Ross out here doing his thing, he's out here in L.A. -- everybody cool out here, I keep it all the way one hundred. I respect the streets and the streets respect me, it's mutual but it's a love thing. It's L.A., it's where I'm from, Compton, California, Los Angeles county. We just keep it one hundred all the way around the board and that's how you maintain your hood sh*t." (Urban Spin)

RICK ROSS VOWS TO OUTSELL 50 CENT.

The 50cent rick ross beef has been going on for a couple of weeks and a lot of diss tracks, and cartoons have been dropped back to back within a short period. With the two artist dropping albums in a couple of weeks, that would sure help keep them relevant. But ricky has words for 50, as he says he would outsell 50.
That claim might not be impossible as 50 has seen a drop in sells of previous albums lately. He, 50 cent, said it himself in an interview that he was really dissapointed at his last album sales. Curtis sold just 1.2 million total in the us, opposed to "get rich or die trying" and "massacre" that both sold over 5 million copies individually. And also concidering the fact that the last g-unit album only managed to sell 200,000 copies total, that is what "trilla" ricky's last album sold in its first week, then we can say ross can make some claims.
Talking of what ross was really talking about when he made that statement during an interview by "mtv", he meant if 50 cents album "get rich or die trying" sold 10 million copies worlwide, then he would sell 12 million copies. Those were his words. I can ride with him if he says he would outsell 50 with their individual efforts that are dropping soon, but outselling get rich or die trying is highly impossible.
"Get or die trying" was a hungry 50 cent spitting his life out, and with backing of eminem and dr dre, he could not have gone wrong.
I wish rick ross the best in his career, and thank 50 for giving him a little promotion with this beef issue.
