Who's Hot, And Who's Not

I got to know from you guys- who is hot in hiphop right now, and who is not? There is a lot of talk about rick ross being the hottest right now, and i think i can buy that, but i want to hear from you guys. Please, remember that i said HOT, not the most lyrical or the person who has sold the most rap albums, but just plain simple- who's hot.

I know people will still get me wrong and start mentioning eminem, and jay-z and them. When last did you hear a song from those guys on the radio? And when was the last time they featured on someone else's track and made an impression. I just want to know who you think is hot right now.

I would like to mention some other people that are on the scene and making waves. Nicki Minaj still has her buzz from last year, although i can't say it is on the level it was last year. Maybe lil kim was right- maybe she is just a burning match. But, i think otherwise, because she is very versatile, and skilled.

Lil Wayne? I still don't get that his 6 foot 7 foot song- i think it is not hot  enough to be an album single- and the first single at that. But he is still moving units from his EP I Am Not A Human Being, so that gives you an idea that people are still waiting on new material from him.

Drake? I don't know...i guess he is just aight right now. But i do believe he still has a lot to give.

Whiz Khalifa is definitely hot right now, and his album just dropped- Rolling Papers. I haven't gotten it yet, so i can not rate it. I am going to know how much it did in its first week in stores today. But already, estimations don't put him above the first week of lasers.

Yeah, that takes me to LUPE FIASCO. Lupe is not the type to jump on so many songs, because of his style, but he is doing pretty good. The official first single off the album (LASERS) "The Show Goes On" has already been certified GOLD; that means it has sold 500,000 copies as a single. I think that is pretty good. So, as for this year, Lupe Fiasco still has the highest selling rap album- that is for rap albums that dropped this year.

Yeah, you got to mention the guy who put lupe on- Kanye West. Kanye still has the buzz from last year, but i was really thinking he was going to own the first quarter of this year with that ALL OF THE LIGHTS track. That track is a banger, and i thought it would performance better than it is doing so far.

Wale is also hot, and a lot of people are complaining about his move to Rick Ross's Maybach Music imprint. Me, i think it is a smart move. He signed with the label this year, and he is already everywhere...i am just happy he is not going to end up like J.Cole. Cole has a lot of talent, but i guess jay-z does not have his time, because seriously, he is meant to have dropped his album by now. I guess the Roc Nation is not going to be as strong as jay planned it to be.

I got to mention my man GAME, even though he is more or less bubbling under the radar. He has been dropping dope mixtapes for the last 24 months or so, but i think we need an album from him, so he needs to work on that. He was widely complemented on the dopeness of his last mixtape- Purp and Patron, which was a double cd mixtape. I downloaded it and i got to say it was beyond what i expected from game. But, i think he needs to focus more on getting his album out.

Okay, those are all the artist i recognize...artist that made my radar, pls feel free to add yours. Thank you.

Game Needs 50 cent- That is What Sha Money XL is saying

Producer Sha Money XL, at a recent interview said that Game needs 50 cent at this point in his career. I think the reason people keep saying this is because they made beautiful music together, and the songs they made became big hits. But i do not think that game really needs them...he might need a formula for making a banger...like a club/radio smash, but not necessarily 50 cent. Before game went back to Interscope and started having problem with getting a release date for his album, he was doing good. Doctor's Advocate was dope...L.A.X was super dope, even though it sold the least from his 3 albums.

Read what sha had to say below-

"Game is cool, I think he just needs me," Sha said in an interview with radio host EI8HT. "I gave him 'Hate It Or Love It,' I gave him that record. He needs 50 [Cent], he needs us, he needs a Unit. And you see he tried to make a play to get back to us. I hand delivered that record, 'Hate It Or Love It,' so he just needs that banger and he'll be all right. He can rap but he needs to stop shouting out so many names in the songs and just rap. He's got that sh*t. He comes with it, but, he's like Nas, they don't pick the right beats sometimes." ("Street Disciplez Radio")

Why do people keep saying nas selects bad beets? Well, if he does and can still be TOP FIVE DEAD OR ALIVE, then he is something else. Back to game, i think he needs to drop that album a.s.a.p. What the hell is he waiting for?

Game and R.E.D Album

I was listening to one of game's tracks that hit the internet the other day; Rough, featuring Yelawolf, and there was a part he was like- Detox, Red/M.C's Dead; referring to both his and Dr Dre's up coming releases. H e kinda meant that mc's would have there burials after he and the good doc dropped. I think i might agree with him, because most of the rappers are just sounding the same at this point, or they are kinda not creative enough, and from what i have heard from game so far, i think his album is going to get a lot of attention.

What i just want to know at this point is when is it dropping? Come on! Game, you need to drop that album A.S.A.P. He already has a single, RED NATION, with Lil Wayne that is getting radio airplay, so i do not know what he is waiting for. He needs to shoot the video pronto, and get a release date for the album, so he can start building up anticipation.

Below is what he had to say about the album-
"The 'R.E.D.' album is going to remind everybody of what hip-hop is supposed to be in its prime," says Game. "The 'R.E.D.' album will be the best album this year hands down. There's nobody putting out an album this year that will even be able to compete with the skill level-- the bar is gonna be set after this album drops. I guarantee it now from start to finish." (Billboard)

Hmm! I like this...but, as i said earlier, what is he waiting for?

Game Drops Official First Single (RED NATION) Off his R.E.D Album

After so much hiatus, the westcoast rapper Game is finally gearing towards the release of his 4th album- R.E.D. He just dropped the first single off the album, titled RED NATION and it features Lil Wayne. If you ask me, i would have preferred he didn't get lil wayne to do the hook. He could have easy made The Kill, or I am King (2 songs off his purp and patron mixtape) singles.LAX

I just feel him featuring wayne is like trying to create another "My Life" (the first single off his last album, which also featured lil wayne). I don't know, i am not just really feeling this song as a first single. Maybe i need to listen to it a few more times. I got it on my phone this morning, and i have listened to it like 3 times or so. Maybe, i'll give it till monday and see how i feel about it then.

I am sure Jimmy Iovine and the other execs at Interscope Records made him do that so as to get some buzz for the album. I wish him all the best...follow this link to listen to the song-RED NATION

Game Talks About Nas's Reaction to "The Kill" and a Possible collaboration

One thing i know Game has accomplished that a lot of his contemporaries have not is the relationship he has with a lot of the Greats in the rap game (asides from Jay-Z). I mean, the dude has a song on his mixtape (purp and patron) where he features Dog E. Fresh, Big Daddy Kane, and K.R.S 1- the song is nothing short of classic. I guess it is this same quality that had him falling out with 5o cent, cos 50 wanted him to beef with Fat Joe, Jadakiss and Nas. Those are New York Rap legends- in fact, they are rap veterans, period! 50 might have all the money in the world, but he does not have that love from other rappers. I guess 50 is just in it for the money.

Anyway, back to the story. Last week, game talked about how nas hit him up with a text message propping him over the quality of his latest mixtape (purp and patron), with enphasis on The Kill. He said he hit Nas back, but nas didn't respond. Read about it below-
"You know Nas went through the whole Kelis thing, and he been going through some sh*t," Game explained in an interview. "He was staying low. Then he put the album out that he had with Damian Marley. He had to tour that. But, when I dropped the [Purp & Patron] tape, I got a f*cking text from a 917 number. I was like, 'Who the f*ck is this?' I open the text up, and all it says is 'N*gga. It's Esco. The tape is crazy son. 'The Kill' -- crazy son.' Then I replied to the n*gga like 'Yo yo yo yo.' Then the n*gga disappeared on me (laughs). He's like phantom my n*gga (laughs). He just came in to say that 'The Kill' and the tape was crazy, then that n*gga went on and away." (Baller Status)

He also talked about a possible collaboration between him and Nas on The R.E.D album.
"But I love him for sh*t like that man," Game added. "Then he hit me back the next day, and said he was getting on a plane that's why he ain't respond. Then he hit me back the next day and said he'd be in LA in a week. He said he was going to come and listen to all my songs, give me his whole input on the album, then find a song right for us, and he's going to do it. Hopefully that sees the light of day, because n**** this f***ing album [R.E.D. Album] is nothing short of a miracle man." (Baller Status)

They have always made beautiful music together, so, i do not expect anything short of another great track. Their first collaboration was on Nas's "hip hop is dead" album titled HUSTLERS (A Dre Dre produced track); the they did the "why you hate the game" track on game's DOCTOR'S ADVOCATE the same year (2006). Two years later, there was another collaboration on Nas's UNTITLED album, the track also featured CHRIS BROWN- and then, the same year, 2008, they appeared together on "letter to the king", on L.A.X. With all this tracks, it is enough reason for them to go into the studio again.

RZA Address's HEARTBEAT Song Issue With Game

A couple of days ago, after GAME released the Purp & Patron mixtape, RZA's camp were taking some legal actions against game for putting the Heartbeat song on the mixtape. Game hit twitter, and addressed the issue.
If you didn't know, i will bring the re-cap of it below-
"I think RZA [is] tryin' to sue about ['Heartbreaker'] or somethin'," confirmed Game in an interview. "That's f*ckin' crazy. Like, I don't even know how RZA sues The Game." From Game's understanding, the song was an agreement. "He came to the studio and brought the ['Heartbreaker'] track to me. He's like, 'Yo Game, this is for you. You can have that.' Those are his words." Game also maintains that RZA's company on that day, Rev. Burke, was invited to rhyme on the record. "His boy spit crazy. I [rapped after] him." (Hip Hop DX)

That was what game said about the issue last week. Below is what Rza twitted recently after it-
"Tired, and on this twitter to respond while I am in China working. I have nothing but love for Game.," RZA tweeted Monday (January 31). (RZA's Twitter)

And, from RZA's camp-
"This is Tam, [RZA's] assistant. The issue boils down to we wanted to get the song on the album that was coming out for Game at the time. We went to the studio that night and Game felt the track and it was all good. The issue came about when it did not make it to the album because there was not enough time to clear the track. We spoke with Tony Martin, who informed us that the track would not be used and if it was, we would be notified. Now, that being said, they put it on a mix tape and never said anything to us; and we got an offer to have the tracked purchased by someone else. So this is not anything personal, and RZA has nothing but love for Game, but this is business and in all fairness, it would have been cool if they would have just let us know what the intent was, because we began soliciting the track for purchase and its looks like this was a double sale issue when it wasn't." (Statement)

Okay, thank God that has been cleared, cos i couldn't really imagine real emcees beefing over issues like over a track.

Game- Purp and Patron Mixtape, R.E.D Album, and more

Right now i am listening to the Purp and Patron Mixtape (Game's new mixtape that dropped a couple of days ago), and i can say i am hearing a lot of maturity on some tracks, and a lot of versatility. I heard some old tracks, even though game claimed all the tracks. The track, "children story", i have heard it on one of his previous blackwall street mixtapes. Anyway, the mixtape has a huge buzz on the internet right now and i am happy for him. I think he needs something like this for them to give him clearance for his R.E.D album at Interscope.

His album is long overdue, and he needs to drop it before people start forgetting him. Game is everywhere on the internet right now, so i am going to bring up some of the news on him-
Game maintains that R.E.D. will still be executive produced by Pharrell and feature production from Dr. Dre, and that he's only a week away from settling on an official single. "I got a couple singles picked out. I talk to the label in a week and I'll play them the whole album and we'll come to an agreement collectively on what we should go with," he explained. "I got shitloads of singles for the album. So we'll see what catches and we'll roll with it." As far as collaborations, the former G-Unit rapper did reveal that Chris Brown and Wiz Khalifa will make the final cut. "Oh yeah, Wiz is on the album, Chris is on the album. Pretty much everyone is on the album," he shared. "Whoever you could think of. Except Jay-Z and 50." (Rap-Up)

Hmm! I don't know, but i really would like if game didn't have to keep bringing up 50cent's name. You got talent kid, you do not need all that publicity by shouting out 50 name (in a negative light)...or maybe i don't know how the music industry works.

More news from game below concerning the R.E.D album-
"The R.E.D. Album is pretty much 95 percent done," Game explained in an interview. "Until I find a record that is just so amazing to me, and it's next level and doesn't sound like anything that's out, makes me feel comfortable with it being played on the radio... I won't give R.E.D. Album a date. At this point, it's pretty much in my hands. I had a meeting with Jimmy Iovine and the label heads about a week ago, and they gave me the green light to pick a date when I want. The album is so classy, that I can't sell it short with any single man. I wanna come with the right song, and make sure it's a song that's classic and iconic, and then we'll know." (Complex)

I wish Game all the best- he still is in my top 3 for right now (Nas, Jadakiss, and Game).
Below is more news on the PURP AND PATRON MIXTAPE and the R.E.D album- in fact, it is a full-length interview.

Game chopped it up with AllHipHop.com’s Founder Grouchy Greg and went into detail about how the massive mixtape came together, the possibilities of a collaboration with 50 Cent, his thoughts on Bloods in Hip-Hop and how a monumental track with KRS-One, Doug E. Fresh and Big Daddy Kane came to fruition.

All of this is to hold fans over until his fourth official LP The R.E.D. Album gets a release date.  According to Game, the mixtape is a throwaway until the real thing comes along. Check out Part 1 of this 2 Part interview.

AllHipHop.com:
Congratulations on the success of the Purp and Patron mixtape. Your reps told me it has done about 200,000 downloads since you dropped it.

Game:
Ni**as is congratulating me on the mixtape all day, like a Ni**a just won the NAACP Award or some s**t. (Laughs). I got three albums, all of them are platinum. I can understand it. They aint gravitating to some nobody in s**t. But I have to be honest, I didn't think it was going to do all this s**t. I can't even begin to understand it.

AllHipHop.com:
How do you think the people at Interscope are feeling since the official album has been delayed?

Game:
The label, they talking about putting The R.E.D. Album out tomorrow (laughs). We had a conversation, I'm going to go play them the album next week. The label is already on board, that's why I put the mixtape out.

AllHipHop.com:
So Interscope had no problems with you dropping this double mixtape with all of those cameos? They gave you permission?

Game:
Gave me permission? Grouchy, Ni**as don't give me no f**king permission. I met with Jimmy Iovine himself, I told him what my ideas were as far as my project. Then he put the whole building at my disposal.

AllHipHop.com:
So there's like 30 some odd new songs out and that doesn't include this Hangover bonus you said you are going to drop. Didn't these songs take a lot of money to make, with the amount of guest appearances on this mixtape?

Game:
I'm from one of the most notorious cities in America. Over the years, throughout the early phases of my career, all the way up until now, I've developed friendships, so I can pretty much get anybody on a song as far as reaching out. Fab, Wayne, those are my dudes, along with Snoop. Me and Wiz [Khalifa] got tight in the last four or five months. It wasn't hard to put together the project, but the studio time, that was on me. I probably spent about $20, $30,00 working on this mixtape. But I just came off tour, I'm caked up, so we made it happen.

AllHipHop.com:
With all these guest appearances, what in the world can be left for your official album?

Game:
The album is nothing to be played with. It's killing the mixtape. The mixtape I threw that s**t out and Skee helped sequence in the right way.

AllHipHop.com:
Is there any conceptual theme to this album? I noticed the song you gave AllHipHop.com "The Kill," it seems like you are speaking to your fans a little bit different. To be honest it sounds more mature.

Game:
The album sounds like The Documentary on steroids. The only thing missing from this album is 50 Cent. As much as he don't like me and I don't like him - or we say that we don't like each other - it's the only thing missing. I worked with Dre again, Just Blaze is back on it, I worked with Swizz Beatz again, I worked with 'Ye (Kanye West) again, I got DJ Premier on the album, Pharrell is executive producing it. Snoop, Drake, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, E40, Big Boi, it's crazy.

AllHipHop.com: You think 50 will ever go back and work with you?
Game: I think 50 might. I think we might work together again one day. But I tell you what, it will be on his project first, not mine (laughs).

AllHipHop.com: Has there been any dialogue between you guys or your camps in terms of figuring out a way to end the beef?

Game:
There aint nobody to middleman the situation. It's going to have to be me and him. People would think it was a hoax or one of us was messing around with the other. We would really have to sit down, or it's going to be nothing.

AllHipHop.com:
It's obvious the fans are waiting for The R.E.D. Album. XXL Magazine did a poll among the fans to see what album they were waiting for the most in 2011. You won by a landslide, over a lot of rappers.

Game:
Of course. When it comes to albums, I don't disappoint. Like people can diss, bring up the "Change of Heart" s**t, say that I'm a fake blood. Like the "Change of Heart" s**t. OK, I went on there. That was me, I loved it, I had a ball. I was 17, that s**t was fun and I'd do it again today at 30. That was then. Ni**as say I'm a fake blood. But the Ni**as that think they are real bloods got their affiliation from me. I can dip in and out of any hood. Ni**as f**k with me man. I done paid my dues in the street. I don't have to try and be a "real" blood. I'm not out doing drive-bys, I'm at home with my kids. But as I elevate my life, my career, my family, I'm still the same person on the inside. If you push my button, I will break your s**t in half. Anybody will. If someone is testing your manhood, a f**king nerd will fight you. This album is me, I want it to see the light of day, not for me, but for my fans. They've been waiting on it.

AllHipHop.com:
You touched on you being a blood. And you dropped that cut "Soo Woo" with Lil Wayne, who also reps the bloods in his music. Do y'all ever worry about law enforcement messing with y'all since everyone is claiming one affiliation?

Game:
I'll flip that question on you. Do you think the gang banging problem is realistically worse now than it was, when Ni**as like Snoop and N.W.A. was out? Why would anyone try to stop me or any of them Ni**as around the world who "think" they are bloods? Being a blood has become more a fad or a fashion for some people. Ni**as say blood and never seen it. Shit, I got Kim Kardashian and them on the mixtape yelling
"Soo Woo." It aint nothing.

AllHipHop.com:
How do you feel about that, seeing as though you come from the era and area when it was real?

Game:
I'm glad that being gang affiliated has become less violent.

AllHipHop.com:
You have Lil Boosie on a track titled "187." Man of all the song titles, "187"? Wow. He's in jail facing the death penalty over a murder. What was it like working with Boosie?

Game:
When he was going through trial, he did that for me and he was like "you can hold that. You are going to have the only Boosie verse and you might have the last Boosie verse for a long time." He looked out and I want everyone to know I am doing it for him too. I remembered I had it and I was like let me give the dude some light. I know that where ever he is, he got wind of it and he knows what's up.

AllHipHop.com:
Well it's pretty dope how much balance this mixtape has artist wise, with cats from The Bay, West and the East. Why is this always so important for you to have this amount of unity?

Game:
When have I not been a universal artist. When have I not named dropped my favorite artists? It's just who I am. When have I not payed homage? I got KRS, Doug E. Fresh and Big Daddy Kane on this album, on one track! A lot of the younger rappers aren't grass-rooted in Hip-Hop. They don't even know who Digable Planets is. They would think that was a special on A&E about the stars or some s**t. Ni**as don't go back to EPMD, Strictly Business or The Geto Boys, Tela, they don't know about the first Blueprint. Ni**as think Jay-Z had the first Blueprint.

AllHipHop.com:
So on the "History" track with KRS, Doug E. Fresh and Big Daddy Kane, you actually worked in the studio with them?

Game:
We was all in the studio at the same time. I got it on camera. Outside of meeting Dr. Dre, that was the best night of my f**king life. I will never forget it, and I am forever in debt, first to KRS-One, cause he put it together. Doug E. for being a good friend of mine and coming to the studio and my other homie Dougie D. who was like 'You got them in the studio? Let me call my man Kane!' Even KRS said 'Us three never been in the studio at one time, never."

Game Subliminally Disses Soulja Boy

Game just dissed Soulja Boy Subliminally on twitter- He didn't go direct and mention his name or nothing, but it is clear who he is talking to.

Read below:

"I f#cks wit my fans & they f#cks wit ME. it's funny how n!ggaz be havin like 8,342,017 followers but can't sell 15,000 albums.," Game tweeted Thursday (December 16) night.
"That's like a n!gga they can't bench press his own weight. I guarantee I will match my followers in UNITS sold when RED drop. #thinkRED"

Well, for one thing, i know Game would match his twitter followers with the amount of records he sells, because Game has about 159,000 followers. Game has definitely sold more than that in the past. His last album, LAX, sold 239,000 copies in its first week- it dropped in 2008.

My question is; when is RED dropping? Game, you need to drop that album before all your fans forget you and start riding with some one else.

Game Being Sacarstic About Lloyd Bank's First Week Sales

The first week sales of Lloyd Banks latest album, Hunger For More2 just came in and it did 45,118, and below is what GAME had to say about it on twitter-H.F.M. 2 (Hunger For More 2) [Explicit]

"Shout out to @lloydbanks for coming in #25 on soundscan the 1st week selling 45,188 copies with the new album. I knew u could do it champ !," Game tweeted Wednesday (December 1). (Game's Twitter)

Although game reached out to 50cent a few weeks ago, wanting to squash their long time beef, it is clear that game is still not ready for a G-Unit re-union, because his recent remarks, which is clearly sacarstic, shows that he is still not in good terms with them.

How can you be commending a rapper for selling 45k, when other rappers that came out the same week as him, KANYE WEST and Nicki Minaj, did 497k and 375k respectively in first week sales; that is 10 times what banks did, so it is clear he is just making fun of banks.

Well, game is a man of his own, and he can talk and do what ever he want, although i just feel he need to leave the issue alone. But i think he is just taunting banks because of some remark banks made about him last month

"I always catch wind of what's going on and somebody brought my attention to it, I saw it on Twitter but I don't really got too much negative to say about the situation because I've dedicated so much time to myself, to get somebody else attention due to negativity but what I can say is we did that dance already," Banks said in an interview with radio host Suava. "We did that dance where we formed the group G-Unit to establish ourselves as solo artists and I think it's time for us to pay 50 [Cent] back. It's reverse now. I'm out here trying to better myself as an individual so that when we do form the monster known as the group G-Unit, it'll be that much easier on us. So, if anything, that situation would be going backwards. It's too late to cry over spilled milk. I would be interested to see if those same attempts to reach out to 50 Cent would be happening if he had a number one record on the
 radio." (Hot 105.5)

I think game was just checking banks; lol!

Game Wants To Squash G-Unit Beef

The Game started beefing with G-Unit in 2005, shortly after his multiple platinum selling debut album, "Documentary" hit stores. I can say Game built a Big movement with the whole G-UNOT campaign and i can say he was the first to go against G-Unit single handedly and still come out untop. So, it is funny that he is reaching out to 50CENT Via twitter, saying they could forget the past and work together again.

People say game is bi-polar and that he would just turn around and diss them(g-unit) again, like he has done in the past, but i think game is serious this time.

I am a big fan of his music, and if he had done this 3 years ago, i might have been disapointed, but i guess he made his point with the beef, and has gone platinum on two more albums after that, so i think he is good. But i know a lot of people are going to find it a hard pill to swallow.

Anyway, this are some of his tweets concerning the issue.

@50cent Aye nigga, get on twitter & let's get this shit movin !!! G-G-G-G- well, you know the rest

@50cent All it take is "ONE PHONE CALL" ! U call me, I call BUCK, tell Banks holla at Yayo & dat puts HIP HOP @ OUR MERCY ! #UknowUcdisNIGGA

Anybody don't like it, FUCK YALL !!! Out wit the EGO'S... we were once DOMINANT !!! It's TIME "CURTIS" !!! Yo call nigga.

Naw, Im not drunk. IM SOBER AS F**K holla'n @ a nigga str8 up. If it never happen, SO WHAT !!! But let it b known I extended an olive branch

Okay, i would really like to hear from you guys on this one.

Game says and i quote, "I just wrote the best song of my career"

Game recently said he just recorded the best song of his career; i hope so, because he has been off the scene for too long. He didn't make the mtv top 10 hottest in the game list, and he also did not make B.E.T's top ten rappers of the 21st century, so i think he needs to drop something that would put him back on the map. I am a big fan of his music, so i wish him the best with his comeback.

Below is what he had to say-

"I just wrote the BEST SONG of my career & I owe 2 ALL OF YOU !!! You will understand when you hear it. #time2celebrate," Game wrote Saturday (November 6) night.
"It's called L.O.V.E. = "Let Our Violence End" produced by TIMBALAND" (Game's Twitter)

I can say anything till i hear it, but what i am interested in is him getting back on his feet.

the game to drop track with nas which has nas going at 50 cent

I remember hearing 50CENT'S "piggybank" record and i was like, "what! how can you go against some of the best rappers to come out of new york, "jadakiss", "nas" and "fat joe", but i guess he wanted to get people talking. He succeeded in doing that, and also in selling million of records off of that, for his second album, THE MASSACRE.

In the midst of all the beef, nas never replied, claiming 50 was not on his level lyrically and and experience wise, so he just did some interviews, and a line here and there, but no ETHER for 50 cent. One of the tracks that had some subliminal lines aimed at 50 from nas was a "game" track, STREET RIDERS, that featured "akon.

Below is what "black wall street dj", DJ SKEE, had this to say about the track:

Included on the tape is "Street Riders," on which guest MC Nas references Pharrell Williams by name and throws some subliminals at 50 Cent. "I showed n---as their first Bentley/ How the f--- I window shop?" he raps. "We've actually had it done forever," Skee said. "It was actually supposed to be on the Doctor's Advocate album. It didn't make it for one reason or another. There's been a bunch of different reincarnations of the song. ... I actually have eight different versions of the song. Game, he went back in. He said, 'It's time to do it.' Cool & Dre did the beat. So we was like, 'Let's throw it on the mixtape. It's probably never going to come out other than that.' I played a snippet of it on the radio years ago, and fans have been going crazy since then. We threw that on. Game did two new verses. He wanted to make it more relevant for today. You have a crazy Nas verse. Akon kills the hook. It's one of the craziest, darkest Cool & Dre beats. It's one of my favorite Game records ever. So it's finally out, Brake Lights, it's official." (MTV)

I would like to hear that track, because if you put nas, game, cool n dre and akon together, you can only get a banger.

what's up right now in hiphop

Yeah, what's up right now in hiphop...eminem is killing the charts with his latest album, RECOVERY. I think it is wonderful that eminem dropped another album a year after RELAPSE. If i may say, recovery is what relapse should have been. I remember hearing the first single off relapse and i was wondering what eminem was still doing releasing a corny ass single like WE MADE YOU. Come on! You are a grown ass man. So when i saw the video for NOT AFRAID, i knew he was on track.

The album has sold like 1.5 million copies nationally, and 3 mill globally. It is a great album; if you don't have it yet, make sure you go out and get it at any chance you get. A lot of slipping and switching of skills on this one. And a lot of emotions being poured in the tracks.

What else is up, DRAKE'S album finally came out and hmmmm!!! I just have to say that THANK ME LATER is not doing the kind of numbers that i thought it would do. And i am sure they spent so much on that album, and it would take a while to recoup. It is at about 800k after about 6 weeks. Come on! I thought LIL WAYNE said it would sell 2 mill in it's first week.

Next up is KANYE WEST. He is about to dropped his album; back to rap, no more singing. Let's see how this one goes. I think i am looking out for T.I's KING UNCHAINED(I HOPE I GOT THE TITLE). I think it would be a nce album.

Lastly, GAME dropped his new mixtape, BRAKELIGHTS, yesterday. You should get that to, he put a lot into it.

what's up with game?

I am a "game" fan, but i got to say he has got zero buzz for his upcoming album, "R.E.D". I just don't know he is going to do it with this one; i don't think i have seen his "shake" video on MTV, and i hardly hear it on radio, and that is meant to be his first single.

With his last album; he had the song with "keisha cole", GAME'S PAIN, a decent song, and then he had the second single with "lil wayne", a certified single. But with this album, he went on another direction with the album, maybe cos he is back in "jimmy iovine's" eye, and he really wants to impress.

He practically made his last two albums all by himself, with nobody telling him what to do and who to feature; he was just doing him, and i must say, they came out fantastic. But, i think i can say he is confused on this one, or their is a lot of pressure on him to make radio friendly songs, and he isn't built that way, and he tries to balance it, but the pharell thing ain't really catching people.

I think making the album with pharell doing like half of the tracks is really going to affect him. People are not used to hearing game on "neptune type" beats, they want to hear game on banging beats, like the ones that duo producers, "cool n dre" usually make for him. If you would ask me, i would have loved if cool and dre produced the bulk of the tracks on the album, then he gets a couple of other producers to walk on like 5 or 6 tracks, that would have sounded uniform. And he was all about cool n dre at the begining of the project, so i don't know what made him chnage lanes.

His first single off the new album is shake, and it was produced by cool n dre, and i think it is dope, but i guess a lot of people are not just feeling it. And i don't know what's up the "dr dre" tracks, cause i have not heard any of them. And the thing is that i like the tracks with pharell, they are very different from what game is used too, but he did justice on the beats. I like the "it must be me" track, but the other one that features "justin timberlake", AIN'T NO DOUBT ABOUT IT, isn't a banger, so i wonder why he wants to make it the next single off the album. Personally, i think he needs a DR DRE produced

what do you think about jadakiss working with lloyd banks

I just read up that there is a new remix of lloyd banks latest single, "beamers benz and bentlys", featuring "ludacris" and "jadakiss". WOW! Sure, i know there is no more beef between g-unit and d-block, but it just kinda feels odd that banks would go and get jada on his song. But i think it is all good for hip hop; spread the love.

I know jada and GAME are really cool, and i wonder if game would react to this. Of cos i know it would be childish to react negatively to something like, but the funny thing is that that is the same thing that caused the beef in the first place.

In 2005, game was asked what he felt about "nas", "fat joe" and "jadakiss" and he said he respected them as rappers and would like to work with them sometime in the future (which he did do), and then "50 cent" felt offended and kicked game off g-nuit before he even made it home from the interview. Now, i am just saying, just letting y'all know...more like i am reminding you guys, lol!

Anyway, that is that; i hope it is some great music; infact, i know it would be great, because anything luda gets on turns out great. I am going off to listen to it right now.

what new rap albums are you waiting on

Yeah, what is popping people? I would really like to get comments up on here; i know at least, 30-40 people view this page daily (thanks to statcounter.com, i know that for sure), so i am wondering why people don't always leave comments. Anyway, i am cool as long as y'all keep coming back.

Anyway, i wanted to talk about new albums that are dropping soon; "drake's" THANK ME LATER album is dropping soon, J.COLE's album, i can't remember the name, is also dropping soon; the collabo album of my man "nas" and damian marley is dropping next week, make sure you go out and cop that, support real hip hop. DISTANT RELATIVES, the album by nas and damian marley, is dropping next week, may 17th. Yeah, that is one album i have been waiting on for a while now. I have heard a lot of singles from the album, and i think it is going to be a great one.

Another album i am looking forward to getting on my computer is GAME'S "red" album. You all know i am a game fan, so that is a must for me. I think you are going to hear another type of game on this album, but nothing short of a classic(okay, maybe i am blowing game's horn too much, but i am sure the album would be good). The album is dropping on june 29th; mark your calendars and make sure you go out and get it.

Another album dropping on that day would be "diddy's" LAST TRAIN TO PARIS. I respect the fact that diddy has held up his on for so long, more than15 years in the game; for that alone, i would cop the album. But bullshit asides, i like the kind of music he has been making lately, with his "dirty money" clique, giving us that 90's feel again. I feel you should mark your calendar for that one too.

As i said, i would really appreciate comments from you, my readers, and the followers i have.

game claims that jay-z'sv relationship with pharell stopped him from dissing the veteran

You all know that "game" was planning a diss/war on jay-z last summer when jay mentioned his name on the intro to "blueprint 3", and then he dropped the rant all of a sudden, and i was wondering what happened, because i know game is not the type to drop out of a beef just like that. Although jay claimed not to have been dissing game on the track, game, and a lot of people in the industry (like dj green lantern), believed it was false. I think so too, and i think jay just used it to get some buzz for his album. Anyway, i still stand by my words any day that game would have done a lot of damage to jay's career. You have to know that game can be reckless on the mic when it comes to beefing. And, i am not saying game is a better rapper than jay, far from that, i am saying that game is a better beef/battle rapper than jay. Game would never have backed down. I am kinda happy that jay didn't respond to his warning track.

Anyway, game has come out to tell all that are willing to listen, the main reason why he didn't go on with the beef.

"Maybe I stepped over the line because I listen to Beyonce's music," Game said in an interview. "My girl listens to Beyonce's music. All girls do. So, when I did that, I got rained on by like, it was like a chick army at my next show. Plus, I didn't really mean that much harm, man. It's just rap, man. As far as Jay, he's a good friend of Pharrell's and he worked with Jay recently. I decided, along with [Dr.] Dre and Pharrell, that being at odds with him wasn't beneficial to what we're trying to do in the future, so later for that." (Yahoo)

GAME'S BUZZ

GAME's album, R.E.D is dropping very soon, and he is trying to get all the buzz he can before then. I think he is doing real hard work on that. He shot the video to a song, "shake" that is confirmed not to be a single on his upcoming album. He also just released the video for 400bars, a song on his new mixtape, RED ROOM; and he also went ahead to shoot the video for the song he did with pharrell for his mixtape, "it must be me". Wow! So much hard work, i do hope it translates to success.

I like the strategy he is using, trying to be everywhere, on every radio station and music t.v station, so that people get used to his name once again. I must say that he also recently dropped his official first single, "ain't no doubt about it", featuring JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE. People are having mixed feelings about this song; some say they don't like it at all, that game came off soft on the pharrell beat, some say it is game trying some experimenting, and that they like it; what i have to say is that the song would have to take time to grow on people because they are not used to hearing game on soft beats, but i must say you can't take away the fact that game's verses on the song were really hot and on point, so with that alone, i give the song a chance.

GAME' R.E.D ROOM MIXTAPE.

West coast rapper, GAME, dropped his latest mixtape today, R.E.D ROOM. If you would ask me, it is more or less like an album. It has all types of super weight guest appearances; from jim jones, to diddy, jada kiss, to fabolous, and a host of others. The mixtapes starts with his much talked about 20 minutes rap song; 400 bars, which is a follow up to his 2005 track, 300 bars and gunning.

This is just a warm up for his fans till his album drops on june 15, and i think his fans would not be dissapointed. I have not heard the whole mixtape, but the 3-4 tracks i have heard tell all of what someone is to expect.

WHY ARE ALL THIS NEW WEST COAST RAPPERS SOUNDING LIKE GAME.

I wont lie to you, i have not really been listening to a lot of this new rappers, not to talk of the ones from the west. But recently, when there was talks of them beefing with ICE CUBE or something like that, i decided to do some background check on them. And even before i could go far, i saw the video for one GLASSES MALONE single,Sun Come Up , which features BIRDMAN, RICK ROSS and T-PAIN, and i was like why is this dude rapping like GAME? I swear, the guy is trying to imitate that same raspy voice game uses. I have to admit that it sounds good and the dude is aight though.

Then, i did some youtube searches on JAY ROCK, and i listened to a couple of his songs, and i am like this guy is completly jacking game's style. His voice, his gangstar image, even the proclamation of blood affiliation; men, i don't know, this is just my opinion.

I think it is only nipsey hustle that i think kind of has his own style, and no wonder he was the first one i noticed. I just think it is not looking good for the WESTCOAST if all its new artist sound alike.

Then to top it up, i saw on twitter yesterday that jay rock felt game directed some lines his way on 400 bars, and that he was ready for beef/war if that was what game wanted. Wow! Is that seeking publicity or what? As i said, this are just my thoughts; just my opinion.
