WHAT'S UP WITH NAS?

A lot of people have been asking me what's up with NAS. When is his new album dropping? I don't really know, cos nas is in a bad state, emotionally, right now, as KELIS put his business in the media, and told the world that nas had not been a good husband, or that nas had all this money, and stuff like that. And you know nas is one to keep his personal life away from the media. I read on sohh.com, where he talks about how all the publicity is affecting what he wants to record on the nextalbum.

He is meant to drop a collabo album he recorded with DARMIEN MARLEY(DISTANT RELATIVES), before the end of the year. But right now, people are more concerned with his 10th album, and third album to be dropping since he joined defjam a couple of years ago. There has not been any talks about what the theme of the album would be or if it would have any particular theme. His last two albums, "untitled", and "hiphop is dead" where albums with themes. So people are thinking nas would come up with another theme album, but they just can't think of what nas would want to talk about right now.

Right now, i just want to hear some new nas. I feel he should just take his time, and make songs that deal with the present state of the world.

Till this day, there has dnot been any hint of nas having recorded, or started recordings on the album.

50 CENT ON FABOLOUS'S TWITTER COMMENT.

I follow FABOLOUS on twitter, and i read the comments he made about 50CENT, through monday and tuesday, concerning 50 reaching out to his past enemies, like JADAKISS, STYLES P, SHEEK LOUCH, JOE BUDDEN, and a couple of other artist. Now, i am not going to take sides, but i would have to tell you that fab does a lot of talking on twitter, and there are somethings i find him talking about, and i wonder if he is the same fab the rapper that i listen to. Like when he started commenting on the T-PAIN/JAY-Z issue, that got me really pissed, cos i am like "mind your fucking bussiness men!"

Anyway, he made some remarks about 50's past that i feel are true, but 50 said he actually thought fab was a friend,so for him to shit on him on twitter, was a real shocker.

"I wonder if this is a law in the 50th law of power book?? I guess it was a good show 4 NY.. But if u asked 50 a few years ago if he ever saw hisself on stage with any of them he woulda said H*LL NO! Now, reading that, you know fab is 100 percent correct, but listen to what 50 had to say before you make your judgment:

I kind of feel what 50 said right there. Trust me, i am not a 50 fan, infact, after get rich or die trying, i stopped listening to him, because he got cocky, and the fire was gone, but he is making some points there with the "enemies", and "friends" issue.

MARK CURRAY EXPOSES P.DIDDY.

MARK CURRAY, former BAD BOY artist, from 1997-2005, has some things to say about P.DIDDY'S unethical work ethics for a while now. He even wrote a book titled DANCING WITH THE DEVIL, talking about all the unholy deeds of puff to artist on his label.

I see puff as a business man, as an entrepreneur, a capitalist, so i guess puff was just doing business. At lest a contract was signed before you went into the agreement. I think all these artist are just so excited to get a deal, and they do not know what they are worth, until puff starts to market them, and he makes million's off them, and gives them what is stipulated in their contract, but they see howmuch their albums have sold and believe they should get more than they are getting.

Mark curray did some ghost writing for puff from back in the day, and featured on a couple of bad boy songs, but i doubt he ever got to drop an album. I bet a lot of people do not even know who he is and have probably never heard of him. Below are some of his words concerning bad boy ceo, p.diddy;

"biggie was already on his way out the door. And i just remember the stories of when big would need money from puff...and they would be doing a show and biggie would not show up to the show until ten minutes before the show, and puff would be like 'where is he at, where is he at?' and that's where he would be his leverage. Like, biggie knew that puff needed him. If you break it down and look at the situation for what it truly is, biggie smalls made bad boy, bad boy is biggie smalls. A person like MASE that comes to puff and wants a record deal, automatically is willing to do anything he is gotta to do because he asked him for a record deal. So you gotta look at it like, you are willing to sell your sould for that shit right here'

Wow! That's some deep words. He has more to say below;

"i think the only person, man, that came away and worked off with a liltle bit of money is mase...so we can't say he is not doing nothing. As far as any other artist, if you can tell me another bad boy artist that is doing good, i would listen to you, other than that, i can't waste my time trying to think, cos i don't think there is one that exist."

Below are some lines from curry's new book, dancing with the devil, talking of diddy's work ethics;

"even worse, puff charged the artist for his appearances on their records and in the videos, usually without their realizing it until they received their royalty statements. That's when they realize that a large sum of their money had gone to fees which were doubled, trippled and even quadrupled because of puff...for example, for having his BENTLEY in their videos...which he insisted upon...then took a tax credit for the business use of the car"

Wow, puffy is one mean business man. But i guess he feels he has to get that money he has invested in the artist back, in the most legit way he can.

GAME BACK WITH DR DRE.

I remember telling people that DR DRE was planing to use GAME, EMINEM, and 50 CENT as guest artist on his album, DETOX. That is the strategy(using a hot protege) dre uses on all his albums; on the first one, he had snoop all over the place; on chronic 2001, he had snoop again, he had eminem, he had exibit, he had mel man...

I was telling peeps back then that detox would not drop untill game gets on it. Game is from the west, the hottest west coast cat of back then, when dre was really trying to get detox out. Game is still the hottest act from the west, and incidentally, is also from COMPTON, the city dre is from. I just new it was only a matter of time before dre got back with game. Now that the 50 cent beef is almost dead, and 50 is less relevant than he was back in 2005, dre has gotten back with game.

SNOOP, GAME, AND DR DRE are presently in the studio working on DETOX. The picture, which snoop and game put on twitter is an evidence. I wonder what 50 has to say about this. Dre was quiet all that while because he didn't want to take sides, but every body knows who the doc really respects on the mic. Hate him or love him, game is a beast on the mic. And with dre's guidiance, it is another story.

FAT JOE AND JAY-Z MEET FACE TO FACE.

If you all didn't know, fat joe and jay-z have been bitter rivals, even before big pun died. I don't know what caused it, but it has been like a cold war between this 2 for a long time now.
I can remember when nas ended his beef with jay, fat joe went on radio and talked about how dissapointed he was. He even said he wanted to die. If you didn't know, fat joe has been a nas fan for a long time before then, and he always disliked jay.

Just recently, they bumped heads at joe's album release party, which jay mistakenly appeared at. Below is what sohh.com had to say about it.

NAS HAVING DIFFICULTY WORKING ON 10TH ALBUM.

Nas has always been a discreet individual, far from the media. But his latest divorce with ex-wife and songstress, kelis, brought a lot of his private life to the public.
He says this has affected him and the lyrics he would want to put in his songs. He has always been a man to stand by his words anyday, now that kelis has put his business all up in the media, he can not be as discreet as he would love to be.
Also, he knows he surely has to rap about his present situation and what traspired between him and kelis, but he has to watch what he says and how he says what he says, just saw he does not offend or degrade kelis.
It is really a battle when emotions fuck up your work ethics. I wish him all the best and i just can't wait his 10th album. Was with my friend the other day, and he said he didn't get what he expected from bp3 and said he couldn't wait for the next nas album to drop.
Me personally, i know what didn't kill NAS would only make him stronger.
The album is supposed to drop early 2010.
