Word on the streets is that Lil Kim is working on the sequel to her 1996 debut album, Hardcore. In fact, it has been confirmed from her camp that she has actually been working on Hardcore2 for a while now.
I don't why every old rapper has to make a comeback with the sequel to a classic album they droppd at some point in their career. Raekwon didn't start it, but he made it cool, because he was actually very successful with his Only Built For Cuban Linx2 album that dropped last year.
I heard kim is working with the Neptunes, Will-I-Am and a bunch of other dope producers. I didn't start listening to kim until her Notorious Kim album in 1999, so i don't really know what kind of sound hardcore had, and so i can't say whether she is trying to recreate that sound.
I guess we know that her beef with Nicki Minaj is not a waste after all. It has put her back on the scene; whether good or bad press, the important thing is that her name is being mentioned and people are checking out for her again.
I wish her all the best. I am a big fan of her music, and i think she is best female rapper of all time. That is just my opinion, you do not have to agree with me.

Will There Ever Be a G-Unit Re-Union
Do you think there would ever be a G-Unit re-union. I am talking of the full group like how they were in 2003/2004- 50cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Tony Yayo and Game. I think they were huge back then, before 50 kicked game out and game started the whole G-UNOT campaign that assissinated the group's character.
I must say, game put in a lot of energy on that campaign. I was watching the "stop snitching, stop lying" dvd again recently, and mennn!!! Game went in hard on 50. Anyway, i guess he was just defending himself.
Game reached out to 50 on twitter a couple of weeks ago, and we are waiting for what would come out of that. Buck was asked in a recent interview if he would consider walking with 50 again as a member of the group, g-unit, and he said if everything is handled in the right way, there is no reason why he would not consider working with 50 again.
I think they are all super talented, and it would be great to see them come together and work as a group again, but i do not know how possible that would be.
What do youu think?

Lil Kim's Black Friday Diss Track Aimed At Nicki Minaj is Actually Very HOT!!!
I have to swallow my words, because yesterday i sad the track was not that hot, but that was because i had just heard the snippet at the time. I must say, lil kim went in hard on that "Black Friday" track. She went at nicki, at lil wayne, at the whole young money clique and also at diddy.
She was so bossy with it. I think Nicki Minaj is going to respond to this with anoyance, but it would be cool if she settled down and took her time. I am a lil kim fan, but i know there are a lot of pointers nicki could use to go in on kim- like the way she looks recently aint too appealing to the eyes, but kim gonna come right back with something hotter if nicki responds. And if nicki does not respond, people are going to take it that she got shook by kim. I think the black friday track is a hot rap diss record, the way disses should be done, and it would definitely grow on people. Trust me, i know what i am saying; a lot of people are caught up on the nicki hype right now, so they are going to be biased when taking sides, but with time, word of mouth on how good the kim track is would make them listen, and they would actually hear the disses...the shots.
I must say, this is going to be very interesting because they are both very good female rappers.
I want to know who's side you on. You can't sit on the fence on this one.

Lil Kim Drops Nicki Minaj Diss: Black Friday
Lil Kim just replied Nicki Minaj's Roman Revenge diss record with a track she titled Black Friday. I heard a snippet of the track, and i don't know men; i think kim needs to come harder than that. I am a bigger lil kim fan, but i think she needs something that would have that shook value, or maybe it would have been netter if she didn't drop anything at all. Maybe when i hear the full track it would make more sense, but right now, i think Roman's Revenge goes in better than this black friday track.

Hip-Hop Photographeer, Johnny Nunez talks About Taking Jay-Z and Nas picture
Can you remember when Nas and Jay-Z just officially squashed their beef? The picture you can see on this page was the one circulating around the web- so now the photographer that took the pic, Johnny Nunez, relates the account.
Now I'm going to say a few things that a lot of people already know, but I'm also going to expose the truth. That picture everyone remembers of Jay-Z and Nas uniting in 2005 almost didn't go down.
Every Black photographer was excited about this concert. There are a lot of digital stock agencies out there owned and operated by white people, and it's okay because I work with one of them. But what a lot of people don't know is some how and some way, when we called Def Jam, they said something along the lines of there only being one photographer allowed or something like only a few photographers would be allowed [access to the concert]. It was some ridiculous story that said that none of the typical Black photographers were going to be allowed into Jay-Z's concert. We were all numb. We were thinking, "this is hip-hop. How can we not even get into our own events?'
Some photographers were allowed, but they were given a wack a** location [to shoot from]. And when I say wack, it was so far and so impossible that the first tier of people who got the greatest access were all white. So we were like, 'that's f*cked up.' I managed to get my way in through my network of people I know through Jay-Z's camp, but I felt bad for the other photographers that weren't allowed to get good access. My thought was if this is going to be his Black Album concert, then this may be his last performance. So how could [there] not be [any] Black photographers? It's gotta be persons of culture to tell the story and not saying that other races can't, it's just the policies that were involved looked weird. You had the white photographers in the front with a sprinkling of blacks and the rest of the blacks in the far back.
So before the concert, my man got an all-access gold pass that allows you go to backstage and I didn't have one of those. I had some front-only ridiculously wack a** pass which limited me from where I could shoot. I just kept thinking how could there only be one photographer allowed to go back stage and it was a white photographer too. But my man wen to Kinkos and made a laser print of what the all-access pass looked like. He took his license and made a print of it. Then he cut out his face from the license and put it over the copy of the original all-access and then after that, he had it laminated. After that, he gave me his pass to do the same thing and there we were, everyone had gold-out all-access passes from Kinkos, three dollars and fifty cents.
The white photographers were looking at us like, "what the --! Wait! How'd you get this!?" and we said, "this is our pass, we got it from the label." We were up in that b*tch and there's nothing they could say. The passes were good, they were laminated, they looked just like the real sh*t, and there was so much hype going on at that very moment that no one was going to question us. So once again, hip-hop prevailed and it felt like "Good Times" and "The Jeffersons." It was real sh*t.
Next thing you know, I was backstage and once Jay-Z brought out Nas, all the photographers were getting ready. Every press outlet was at the frontier but for someone like me who was running from the back to the side to the front with all-access, I was like, "D*mn, I gotta go back to the front." And if you look at see the documentary about the Black Album, I'm actually in it for about four seconds looking at the camera. It was to show that I was Jay's photographer. Anyway, as I got to the front, all these people that paid big, big, big tickets to be in the front were all celebrities. I'm talking about if you turned around, there's Madonna. You turn to the left, it's Naomi Campbell. It just wasn't looking good for me to get a really good shot because the front of the stage was filled photographers, blocking each other off and f*cking up a good shot.
So I was like, 'd*mn, what am I going to do' and I turn around and [hear] somebody say, "Johnny, you need to get a shot?" And it turned out to be one of my boys from Tommy Hilfiger. It was one of my man's who works at Tommy Hilfiger who previously couldn't get into one of Puffy's parties but I got him in. He said I could lean on his shoulder. And then Nas came out, everybody went crazy and the legendary shot was taken.

J.Cole Talks on Debut Album
My friend and i were just talking the other day about how J.Cole was slowly loosing his buzz. Who Dat was a great song, but i think he should have dropped something more with more buzz, and featured on more songs or something like. Not like i feel like he should go whoring around, but he should look for a way to stay in the media without compromising his person.
Below is what he had to say about his upcoming album and other matters;
"The album could be done. If I needed to put it out next week, I would be able to,” he told Rap-Up.com. “My expectations were already super high and I think the fans’ were too, but now that the mixtape is out and the response is what it is, I kinda want to go back in and do a few more songs that are that much better, just to boost the level of the album.”
Hmm! Going back to make more songs? I don't know about that. I think the time is perfect. He should just go ahead and drop the album around January or feb next year. Well, that is me talking, he has a lot of records execs working with him, so they should know best. And i think Jay-Z would definitely want the best for his investment. I wish him all the best.

Rap Album on The Billboard Charts
This week has a couple of new releases, but not Heavy-Weight rappers. Kid Cudi Fell more than 10 spots from his last week number one rap album position. His fall opened the way for Nelly's 5.0 album to take the number one spot for the rap releases on the Billboard Top 200 album charts. Nelly's 6th album sold 63,000 in its first week in stores. Not so impressive, considering the fact that he once used to compete with Eminem when it came to album sales. His first two albums sold way over 7 million copies individually. I guess his time is over.
Kid Cudi's Man on The Moon2 album comes in second with 36k albums sold this week. His total after two weeks is 206,000 copies. I hope he can make it to gold with this album.
Eminem's RECOVERY album has finally crossed the 3 million mark in sales. The album sold 34,000 copies this week, bringing the full total to 3,005,000. That is quite impressive; now we gotta watch if he has the staying power to make it to 4 million copies. I put him at final sales of around 3.3million. But you never can tell, Eminem is something else.
Lil Wayne's I AM NOT A HUMAN BEING album sold 28,000 copies this week, and this brings the total so far to 474,000 copies. He should go Gold by next week.
Cee Lo Green's LADY KILLER album sold 25,000 copies and now stands at a total of 66k. Twista's The Perfect Storm album sold 5,300 copies this week, and brings the total after 2 weeks to 19,000 copies.
Cassidy's first album as an independent rapper didn't do so well; his C.A.S.H album debuted on the charts this week with 5,200 copies sold.
Kid Cudi's debut album, Man on The Moon: The End of Day, has resurfaced on the chart, off the buzz of his new album. His debut album sold 4,100 copies this week, bringing the total sales so far of the album to 497,000 copies. That is 3,000 copies from 500k.
Next week is going to be very interesting, because we are going to see sales from albums like Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday; AZ's Doe or Die2; Lloyd Banks Hunger For More2 and Kanye's My Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Jay-Z And Nas Arguement on Rhythym 93.7 fm
There was an arguement of who is a better rapper on rhythym 93.7 fm, a radio station here in Ngeria. The arguemnt started this morning when the radio dj, Dj Humility and a lady host said Jay-Z was a better rapper than Nas. The main radio host, Bigtyme was against this, and so the arguement started. This lead to nas and jay-z songs being played, and listenners calling in to give their opinion.
The only two guys that called in went for nas,but the text messages were more or less a 50/50 thing. And the host went over to their twitter page, and nas clearly had more votes, so he crowned Nas the winner. This kind of reminder me of 9 years ago when Hot 97 in New York(u.s.a) did something like this and nas won- having 52% while jay had 48%. It always surprises me when nas wins stuff like this because, skills aside, it is very clear that jay is more popular on radio, so i just wonder why nas always win.
For the record, i think Nas is a better rapper, but i respect Jay-Z as a rapper- i respect his achievments in the music industry.
Before i go, i would like to correct a notion that a lot of people have about nas; the main thing the lady host could use as a pointer for her picking jay over nas was that he was richer, he has on oprah he is meeting with obama...blah blah blah; i think this are incredible achievments, but that is not rap. And from my research, i found out nas turned out a lot of ads, and anything related to putting him more in the media eye. It is very clear that they have different priorities, but when it comes to the real rap thingy, then i think nas is more rooted in rap. And the funny thing is that jay said a lot in his music before he blew up that he was a fan of nas's music, and he even recently put nas's name in his list of favorite rappers of all time.
This conclusion does not take anything away from jay's achievments, but it is just stating a fact.
I would really like to hear your opinions on this one. What ever it is, i would appreciate a healthy arguement.

Jay-Z Name's His Favourite MC's of All Time
Yea, Jay-Z finally names his list of favorite rappers/mc's of all time. As i read through the interview, there were some names i wasn't surprised to see, but some definitely shocked me.
Check out the interview below:
"I guess I would choose B.I.G. [as one of my favorites] because of his ability to tell stories to be humorous, to be dead serious, he just had it all," Jay said. "Just [B.I.G.'s] voice alone. I would choose Pac because his fire will overcome, what he doesn't have in technical skills will be overcome by passion. If you listen to that 'Tunnel' [freestyle] verse where B.I.G. is saying 'MC Hammer and them 357 women' and then you hear how [Pac] comes on, he just screams on the track, his passion could put a lot of guys to sleep. I guess Kool G Rap and KRS-One would be on there. I need more emcees. Y'all got Eminem and Nas..." (YouTube)
So what do you think about jay's list? I think i can not fault him for any name on that list, and i like his honesty. Eventhough Tupac dissed him when he was alive, he still put pac up in there. And i like how he described the reson why he put pac there; it is more about pac's passion for the game, and not really the rhyme scheme or anything. Funny, i have been telling guys the same thing for a long time now. I think after reading this interview, i respected jay a little more than i already did.

4 Rap Albums dropped today
Yeah, Nicki Minaj's PINK FRIDAY, Lloyd Banks HUNGER FOR MORE2, Kanye West's MY DARK TWISTED FANTASY and AZ's DOE OR DIE2 are all dropping today, November 22. In fact, by the time you would be reading this post, they would already be in stores, so go out and support this rappers, they have put in a lot of time and energy to make this albums.
All the artist are big on radio except AZ, but that don't mean he is not worth checking out. It just so happen that he is from the 90's era and has not been able to blend in with the new climate of hiphop.
I would like to educate people that don't know who he is: az was the only rapper feautured on Nas's classic album, ILLMATIC, and he dropped his debut album, DOE OR DIE, in 1995. He and nas have always been friends even before the two blew up.

Dr Dre's Detox Album is Finally Dropping.
There is finally some hope that Producer/Rapper, Dr Dre is going to drop his long awaited album. I think i have been waiting on this album since when i was in my second year in college, and that was back in 2004, but i thank God it is finally dropping.
In a recent interview, Dre didn't give a specific date, but said it would definitely drop in the first quarter of next year, probably Feb of 2011. I think i can take him for his word this time since the official first single, "kush", is out and is slowly growing on people. The single features Akon and Snoop Dogg. Other feautured artist on the album are Eminem, Jay-Z and The Game.
If you don't really know Dre from the past let me give you a quick run down; he was in the legendary West Coast rap group, NWA, which also had Eazy E and Ice Cube as members, back in the late eighties. He went on to Death Row records, which was put up by Suge Knights, and dropped his first solo album, The Chronic, which was a huge success, in 1992, and then dropped his second album, in 1999, which he titled 2001. Both albums have sold a combined 16million copies, in the U.S alone, and more millions worldwide. He signed and developed the careers of super star rappers like Snoop, eminem, 50cent and The Game.

M.I to Drop Sophomore Album: M.I2
One of NIgerian's Fnest Rappers, M.I was on The Beat F.M this morning to talk about his second album, M.I2, which he says would drop on the 24th November. He dropped one of the singles off the album, fresh for the first time on the station. I think the title of the track is "Like To Take You For A Ride" or something like that. I think i would have to listen to the song over and over to give my opinion. He switched up his flow and put a little raggae in his delivery during the first few lines...i was just trying to remember some of the lines but Ice Prince's "oleku" is on right now, and i am really feeling it, so i can not think of what M.I was saying on his song. I must say though that if it was wack i would have said so, so i think it is cool; he impressed me with some lines.
And i can but mention his hosts; Rex, Olisa and Toolz, they were so entertaining.
He said the album would be like a movie in that every song was made with a movie scene in mind, so he would be shooting like a total of 10 videos for the album. I think that would be great; i know he has the funds for it, but i hope he has the time that would take up.
So, to all the M.I fans out there, expect his new album later this month; november 24. He said the physical copy would have 15 tracks but the mp3 format on sale on amazon.com would have 18 tracks
I wish him all the best, and i think it is between him and Naeto C for who wears the crown as the King of Nigerian rap; as the best rapper in Nigeria.

Rap Albums on The Billboard Chart.
Kid Cudi is at the top this week, and i think i am very happy for him. Amidst all the controvercy of being an adict, and several police arrests, his sophomore release- Man On The Moon 2: The Legend Of Mr. Rager, sold 170,000 copies in its first week in stores. It is good news that he broke the Sophomore jinx, and itshows he is improving. His first album(Man on Th Moon), which dropped just last year(2009) sold 104,000 copies in its first week in stores.
Cee Lo Green comes in next on the charts after cudi. Although his album didn't do so fantastic, it ranks 2nd on the charts for rap albums on the billboard charts. Cee lo's The Lady Killer album sold 42,000 copies in it's first week in stores.
I Am Not A Human Being, the EP by Lil Wayne is next on the charts. The album sold 35,000copies this week; that brings is total to 446,000 copies so far. His rock album, Rebirth sold over 500k before it went off the charts earlier this year, and now this EP is on to do 500k and above. I think that is good looking for wayne. Two Gold albums in a year.
Eminem's Recovery album, the most successful rap album of the year, is about to hit the tripple platinum status. The album sold 34k this week, bringing the grand total to 2,971,000 copies sold. He would have sold 3 million by next week.
Twista's The Perfect Storm album also debut this week, but sold just 14,000 copies after 7 days in stores. Rick Ross's Teflon don is at 472,000 grand total, and it sold 9,600 copies. He has already shipped Gold, and that is why he was celebrating on Twitter a couple of weeks ago, but remains for the physical copies to actually go off the shelf. And i think in another 3 weeks that would happen
Joe Budden's MIXTAPE SERIES is going stronger; he just dropped Mood Muzik 4; A Turn For The Worst, which did 6,200 copies this week. I think that is cool, considering the fact that it is a mixtape.
Let's see what Nelly and Cassidy would do next week.

Jay-Z says Take-Over Was 100 times Better Than Ether
I went online early yesterday morning and was surprised to read an article based on an interview where Jay-Z said that Ether(a reply diss track made by nas in response to Take-Over) does not come close to His track; Take-Over. He even went ahead to say that Take-Over was 100 times better than Ether. I think that is really funny, because i thought the whole beef had been burried, and everybody and their mama's know who won.
I really do not want to go into this issue, but it just surprised me that jay would say that after all this years.
Anyway, below is what he said about the issue.
"I think in history when we look back, and I don't mean no disrespect to Nas, I think when we look back it's not even close. I just think it was a better record."
"The record, if we take Ether it's 100 times better."
I can remember back in 2001 when ether dropped and jay was interviewed on Hot 97 by Angie Martiniz, and when he was asked about Ether, he started stuttering, it was almost like he was going to cry. You can check youtube for it.
I just want to know what you guys feel about the whole issue.

A Lot is Happening in Hiphop Presently
A lot is going on recently in the hiphop scene and i just want to use this post to break it down for you in one big piece. The first thing i am going to be talking about is the fact that Jay-Z recently, yesterday, went on a radio show and said his Take-over track was 100 times better than Nas's Ether. When i heard that, i was like What! Everybody has forgotten about that and everybody know ether was better. I think i would talk more on that on a later post.
On other news, Dr Dre had an interview with XXL Magazine and said Detox was finally going to drop sometime early next year.
Kanye West and Nicki Minaj are dropping albums a day apart latter this month and the streets are talking on who would have a higher first week sales. I would go for kanye's My Dark Twisted Side over Nicki's Pink Friday. Nicki has a huge buzz, but kanye has a huge fan base.
The lil man, Lil Wayne is back from jail and has already hit the studio. I heard he just recorded a song that is a lot like his hit track "a milli". I wish him all the best but i hope he don't burn out...the dude has recorded wayyyy to many songs in such a short time

Jay-Z Signs Jay Electronica To Roc Nation
Is it me, or is Jay-Z trying to creat another NAS? I am just saying. Jay-Z just signed Jay Electronica to his label(Roc Nation) and i can remember when Nas was all over the media Cosigning Jay Electronica and saying howmuch of him he see's in the kid. And it was just last week when me and my friends were talking about how J.Cole is so much of a Nas, with a little more hype. This is just my opinion, but i think Jay is still Nas's Biggest fan. He loves that kind of music, but knows he can't get off it, so, he would always love to support anybody that is in that lane. Remember how nas said at the end of ETHER, "always wanted to be on every last one of my classics"...then fast forward to 2006, when Jay was on Black Republican, a song on Nas's Hiphop Is Dead album, listen to how excited he was on that song. He even went ahead to do the song's intro. If you didn't know, you would have thought it was a jay song.
Okay, i am not saying this to be-little jay, jay is a great rapper, he just amuses me sometimes. But i think it is a smart move; with the right backing and promo, jay electronica can bring back that real hiphop.
Anyway, below is more on the jay electronica issue.
"We're trying to reintroduce magic to Hip-Hop,"
The event was set as a magic with several oddities performing, including a man deemed "The Human Slinky" and magicians.
Jay Electronica performed for the crowd and the DJ later played his song with Jay-Z.

Game Wants To Squash G-Unit Beef
The Game started beefing with G-Unit in 2005, shortly after his multiple platinum selling debut album, "Documentary" hit stores. I can say Game built a Big movement with the whole G-UNOT campaign and i can say he was the first to go against G-Unit single handedly and still come out untop. So, it is funny that he is reaching out to 50CENT Via twitter, saying they could forget the past and work together again.
People say game is bi-polar and that he would just turn around and diss them(g-unit) again, like he has done in the past, but i think game is serious this time.
I am a big fan of his music, and if he had done this 3 years ago, i might have been disapointed, but i guess he made his point with the beef, and has gone platinum on two more albums after that, so i think he is good. But i know a lot of people are going to find it a hard pill to swallow.
Anyway, this are some of his tweets concerning the issue.
@50cent Aye nigga, get on twitter & let's get this shit movin !!! G-G-G-G- well, you know the rest

Top Five Dead Or Alive: Jay Rock
Yeah, i have not brought you this segment in a while, but i promise i would always deliver as soon as any other rapper drops the list of his top five rappers dead or alive. The one for today is from California rapper, Jay Rock.
By the way, this is courtesy of allhiphop.com
Jay Rock: I got to say Tupac—
AllHipHop.com: Tell me why you chose Tupac; why is he at the top?
Jay Rock: Why Tupac, why is he at the top; because he is my number one rapper! That’s all I used to listen to. I mean, ‘Pac, he was real. Plus, he says what the f*** he wanted to say! And he didn’t give a f*** who had something to say about it. You know what I’m saying?
AllHipHop.com: Do you have a favorite verse by him?
Jay Rock: My favorite verse is [begins reciting verse from “High Speed”] “…I live high speed / slightly disillusioned by weed / I breed thug muthaf***as even worse than me / when I bleed my enemies best to flee quickly, on me / My army, ni**az deceive swiftly …” You don’t remember that song?
AllHipHop.com: Not even a little bit.
Jay Rock: It’s all good. Then there’s another one. He had did a song with DJ Quik; that was crazy. It’s called in the “Late Night.” That was one of my favorite records, too. You know, so shout to Quik! Yeah, ‘Pac, he’s my number one right there!
SCARFACE
AllHipHop.com: And the next MC would be?
Jay Rock: Number two, I gotta say—I like Scarface! You feel me, Scarface is the one! I used to listen to Scarface! Man, he goes in; shout out to Scarface!
AllHipHop.com: I love you for that! He had me feeling long-faced when he was talking about retiring. But, what exactly is it about ‘Face—his overall delivery, the depth of his lyrics—
Jay Rock: It’s him! Just all around, his lyrics, he’s straight gutter/ghetto; he speaks from the heart. Every time he says what the f*** he feels; he’s real! You know what I’m saying, I like hearing that real s***, that real business. And Scarface is just that, real! I don’t know why, Scarface, doesn’t get mentioned in a lot of s***; but, he’s in my Top 5! He’s number two; straight up.
AllHipHop.com: Earlier this year he released, Dopeman Music, you got that s***?
Jay Rock: What, do I got it? This is the Dopman music!
AllHipHop.com: …It’s pitiful, how they got me doing time / for a crime that I ain’t never committed / the bottom line is I’m a black man / so my S-K-I-N is my S-I-N / and unless I win / I’ll be headed to a cell in the pen…[from “The Ghetto Report”]
Jay Rock: What, do I got that s***? I got that on repeat, man. This that Dopeman music that gets everybody high! Yeah, I know about that.
NAS
AllHipHop.com: Okay, and after Mr. Scarface, who’s number three?
Jay Rock: After Scarface, I gotta say, Nas. I like Nas. Nas, he goes in! He’s like a project poet; he represents the projects. When he spits his stories are so vivid. He is a poet and he paints a real picture. When he raps his lyrics, I can see the whole picture. He’s a real project poet.
AllHipHop.com: Have you had the opportunity to meet him?
Jay Rock: Nah, I ain’t never met him. But, I ran across him a couple of times. I’ve seen one of his shows, but I never met him. On that album with him and Damian Marley [Distant Relatives], he gave a shout out to my neighborhood [Nickerson Gardens in Watts, Los Angeles, CA]. I would like to thank Nas for that, straight up.
NOTORIOUS B.I.G.
AllHipHop.com: Who follows Nas? Jay Rock: I would have to say, Biggie Smalls. Yeah, I love Biggie. He had that swag with him. He brought that swag when he rapped; especially, because he was a ladies man. When he rapped that s***, I liked [it]. That s*** go hard, you feel me.
AllHipHop.com: Which album by him did you prefer?
Jay Rock: I like the Ready to Die album. That album right there is real crazy. That’s the one right there, straight up.
BUSTA RHYMES
AllHipHop.com: Now, rounding it off, who is number five and why?
Jay Rock: Man, number five of my Top 5, I would have to say, my boy, Busta Rhymes. On some real s*** though, if it wasn’t for Busta, I wouldn’t even be rapping right now. Busta, really made me want to be a rapper, for real. On some real s***; because, Busta, brought that crazy delivery and that crazy new style. I did some research. I didn’t know that back in the day he was with Leaders of the New School and with A Tribe Called Quest—Native Tongue. You know, I had to do my homework and watch that [movement].
Busta, he’s the one, straight up! His delivery is crazy. When he came out with that, “…hit you with no delayin’, so what you saying, yo / silly with your ice grilly what the deally- yo / when I be on the mic yes, I do my duty, yo / wild up in the club like we wildin’ in the studio / you don’t want to violate, baby / really and truly-o / my main thug villain named, Julio / he moody, yo / type of brotha that will slap you with the toolly, yo…” The way he spit—I got the chance to really meet him—and he said that’s how they talk. They way he was spitting, that’s how they used to talk. I was like, that’s crazy. Butsa Rhymes, that’s the one!

AllHipHop.com: Is there anything that we need to look out for?

"Baby" weighs in on the Nicki Minaj Lil Kim Beef
Baby, Birdman, Brian Williams, C.E.O of Cash Money Records, the label Nicki is signed to has let us know what he feels about the whole issue with Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim. I can't say he was one sided, but what do you expect from him? He has to protect his investment.
Read what he had to say below:
In an interview with Vibe.com, Cash Money’s Birdman spoke on a variety of topics including Lil Wayne’s release from Rikers Island, The Carter IV, and even the beef between rappers Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim.
According to Birdman Lil Kim may have “asked for” her current rivalry with the rising Young Money star.
“Real talk, but maybe Kim asked for it,” said Birdman when asked about Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj. “Usually we don’t try to make money like that…that’s not our theory. We make great music. We have never been the type to make songs about motherfuckas. I think Nicki is speaking in general, not just Kim personally. A lot of motherfuckers have been hating on her success. To me, they are all asking for it. I don’t think any of them has as a talented clique as Nicki. We a movement.”
A feud between Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim was initially sparked back in June when Lil Kim called out both Nicki Minaj and Diddy at a concert in Baltimore. The feud has continued since that time with Nicki Minaj recently denying reports that she dissed Lil Kim on “Roman’s Revenge,” her song with Eminem.
Aside from speaking on Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj, Baby also revealed that there will be a Young Money/Cash Money tour starting in February 2011 and that The Carter IV will be released early next year as well.
“Well, we have the Young Money/Cash Money tour starting in February so we have a lot of new music coming out. Carter IV is coming out at the top of next year,” Birdman explained to Vibe.com

Busta Rhymes is about to drop Extinction Level Event 2, the sequel to his third studio album, Extinction Level Event(98). I can remember when i just got out of high school, and was waiting for admission to college, and my friend who was a Busta fan brought the album(extinction level event) and MENN!!! I was blown away. I think, to date, that is my best busta album. I hope him following the same route a lot of old rappers have been going would work for him. Fat Joe dropped J.O.S.E2, RAEKWON dropped Only Built for cuban links2, and AZ is planning to drop Doe Or Die2.

Rap Albums on the Billboard Charts
This week does not have too much changes from last week; it is still Eminem and Lil Wayne sitting at the top of the charts. I Am Not A Human Being by wayne did 45,000 copies this week, bringing the total to 411,000 copies sold. Two more weeks, and it would have gone gold, but the funny thing is that everybody i know that has heard the album does not like it. Hmm!!! I guess i have to listen to it before i make my judgment.
Eminem's Recovery album is gearing closer and closer to the 3 million mark in sales. His 5th studio album sold 38,000 copies this week, bringing the over-all total to 2,936,000 copies. I think in two weeks it would have gone tripple platinum.
Rick Ross, the number one gangster rapper in the states is also doing good with his latest album...His 4th album since his debut in 2006. Teflon Don did 10,000 copies this week, and its total sales is at 463,000 copies. It might seem low, but believe it or not, he is the third highest selling rapper for the year 2010 so far; so i think that alone is an achievement.
Wacka Flocka Flame's Fokavelli album sold 9,100 copies this week, bringing the total to 86,000 copies sold. Pitbull's new album, Armando did 7,200 copies in its first week in stores. His style is not completely rap, but the few lines when he is actually rapping, he comes correct. Ice Cube's I Am The West album still isn't doing so good. It sold 2,600 copies this week, bringing the total to a 44,000 mark.
I can't wait for more rap albums on the chart, but i guess the rest of the rappers out there are scared to drop.
